Starting my 2nd DWC grow.

Hey guys!

So I have started my 2nd DCW grow of Blue Fire here on the east coast. On my first grow ever i got about 3.5oz in DWC of the same strain.

I germinated the seed on 4/20 so she’s about 6 days in. I feel like she is taking a little longer than the last grow to pop out her leaves. Or it could just be me and she’s right on track.

I have made some minor changes in the tent. I went from a viparspectra 600w blurple light to a viparspectra xs1500 and I have the dial set to 50% light. Not sure if this is too much light or not enough and not sure if that’s even what’s affecting her or not.

In the tent with the lights on it’s about 74 and only like 35% humidity. But I have the seedling under a humidifier cover and in the cover it’s about 80 degrees and 75 humidity. I know that’s high for humidity but it’s until I start seeing some growth and then I’ll turn on the humidifier for the tent.

The seed is from my first grow I did back in June of last year. Thanks guys! Lmk if I’m just being to much of a worry guy and he’s right on track or not .

Hard to tell from the picture, but is the seed shell still stuck on the plant? If it is you can usually remove it, very gently.

In regards to the light, I like to use small 10 watt LED shop lights from Walmart for seedlings. They have a good spectrum and use almost no electricity. The light you have will also work good, it just seems like alot of light for 1 seedling.

All in all, it looks healthy for a seedling, just need the leaves to pop open, should happen soon unless you can remove the shell, if it's on there, again its hard to tell from the pics. Good luck!!

I actually removed the seed yeateday and the leaves looked beautiful. I think I was overthinking it a lot and worrying myself.

Not random at all, I have the light 18 inches away from the top of the plant.

Okay well a tape measure does that lol so why the level. As well personally I would have germ in the DWC so the medium could get acclimated with PH and PPM to help reduce acid run off in the future

Are you from Greece? or your family? My father is from Kefalonia, an island off the west coast of Greece.

Be careful, these lights are strong. I’d start on the longer side. I have x2 viparspectra XS1500 on 2 plants in bloom running them on 60% about 21” away from nearest node and the leaves are turning up to em.

My whole family is from Greece. My dad is a tiny village near IGOUMENITSA and my mom is from KALAMATA.

I was born in the states tho. But I speak it and write it.

Ok thats cool, my mom is from Cuba so I never grew up speaking alot of Greek. I know a lil bit of it though. Good luck with the grow!

Picks from today, 8 days in since germination. I just started adding a little PH’ed water on her with some small amount of ppm. About 325ppm and that’s with faucet water having 160ppm of its own.

Hey, some of us are cannot find level for the life of us. I was actually going to appluad him for it. I have a vent pipe sticking out pushing my light. .its all COCK EYED. So yea, imma throw a level on it and be good! Im sure he doesnt leave it there . . .hopefully. .

Why dwc? Why not attach a res and pump? I cant wait to hulk smash my buckets.

I do not leave it on the light lol. Also I thought about doing that but I didn’t want to much space taken up in the tent.

My tent is only a 2x3x5, so not much room to spare.

Here’s a quick update

She is now on week 2 of veg. I had to create a DIY humidity dome because I can’t get my tents humidity past 40%.

i have a 2x3x5 tent in a closet. I’ve put a humidifier in there and nothing. I have a tray of water in there with a fan on it and nothing. At least the dome is helping a lot right now

I’ve been feeding her with about 300ppm total with 150ppm being tap water, PH’ed to 5.8. I’m hoping to let her grow till the weekend or next week and then swap her over to her DWC setup.

Hey every one, here’s an update on her. I germinated her on 4/20 so we are about 4 weeks in.

I ran into some problems, I couldn’t get the humidity right on the tent (super low) so had to order a new humidifier because my other one was terrible. So now she is sitting at 65% RH in the tent which is perfect.

her roots are nice and white and showing out of the net pot. I feel like she should be bigger but not sure.

P.H 5.8 and PPM 350. I’m going to do a res change today and bump the PPM’s up a little bit.

Hey guys so going on week 4 now of veg. She seems ok. During the afternoon her fan leaves look good and Alive towards the night they start to droop.

P.H Is 5.6-6.0 and PPM’s I try to keep her in the mid 350-400 range. Not sure why she droops a little.

I have a viparspectra xs1500 on 65% light and about 18 inches from canopy. I wonder if I should bump the light to 100% and leave it there the whole grow
