I mentioned in an earlier post wanting to know if anyone else had ever attempted extracting sticks and stems. Not talking about stalks from a grow, little twigs I'd been saving over the past year or so that I pull out of my nugs before I grind em. Well I had some time and all my equipment already set up from a butane run I had just finished, and was able to give this a go last night. I used 13.1 grams of sticks, and a tiny bit more than a third of a bottle of 91% iso. Let em soak for about a minute, strained thru a coffee filter into a Pyrex collection dish I had sitting on a double boiler at 110 f. After about two hours the alcohol had almost entirely evaporated. I was left with half a gram of some nice gooey wax. (almost shatter consistency) I'll post some pics shortly. So to sum this thread up, start saving your stems guys! Lol
