Stem rot treatment options
I believe this 4 month old Northern Lights plant has developed what appears to be Stem Rot? Can anyone help me confirm what this and how to treat it?
The plant is in the very beginning of the flowering stage.
It is in a 10 gallon bucket and has been growing well but it has not been getting enough circulation.
I may try to move the plant. How would you treat this ?
I’ve read about using Peroxide? Baking Soda? Milk? or a fungicide like Green Cure?
Any help is much appreciated :)

Why 2 threads on the same topic?
Why do you think you have steam rot. Looks solid to me.
I’m a newbie and started the first thread on advanced techniques by mistake... the plant is losing 5-10 leaves per day and several stems have soft black Rot on them... here are additional pics ... thanks for your help

That's what i posted in his other thread. Looks like the stem is hardening, which is normal outdoors.

Do the dark spots feel hard or soft and squishy? That will help determine wether its rot or hardening.

A few of the pics look just fine, but one of them does look like it might be rotting. Chances are its due to insects eating away at the stem if thats the case.

I didn't have any luck searching for it.
But we keep posting and somebody should come along that has more knowledge than me. My first thought would be to try some straight up 3% hydrogen peroxide and squirt one of them see what it does. Don't think it can hurt. If it's a bug it should kill it

Thx... I live on the northwest slope of a mountain in New England at 1000 ft and it can be damp here... so I’m suspecting it is some sort of rot... I will try the Hydrogen Peroxide. Thanks

I suspect boring worms, but I could be wrong. Only way to know is cut an affected branch and split it open. To avoid this, you should spray with BT once a week.

Sadly it proved to be Stem Rot and is rapidly killing the plant, I’ve tried cutting off the infected areas and treating with fungicide, baking soda, sulphur and peroxide all to no avail.
The plant is quickly dying now.
It’s been very humid here and it came on really fast. Stem Rot sucks!
Thx for the input everyone... I appreciate all the comments and help.
Fortunately I had a nice Automized Northern Lights harvest earlier this summer
Thanks again everyone

This plant looked amazing 3 weeks ago... today it looks like it won’t survive another 2 weeks... Stem Rot can destroy a crop in no time.
