Hi everyone, first time posting so I am thankful for any help. I’ve been learning a lot here.

The Deets:

Northern Lights Auto / Seedbank
Fox Farm Coco Loco
5 gal fabric pots
Spider Farmer SF-2000
2x4 tent
Buddah Grow & Bloom Organic Nutes + Sugaree

Feeding Schedule:

I feed every three days(ish) based on the weight of the pot. Most of the time that’s every three days but I’m still learning and I know I get it wrong sometimes by a day or two. This is my first time growing organic. My previous grows were using the main Fox Farm line. I had good but not great success…got .6g/w and .4g/w.

So every three days I rotate as follows: (everything ph to 6.2 early and 6.4 in flowering)
First Day: Buddha Grow & Bloom, CalMag+, Great White, Sugaree (as I’m later in flowering)
Second Day: Boogie Brew Tea
Third Day: H20, CalMag+

The Problem:

I’m seeing yellowing on some leaves and a bit of curl. My initial guess was a Magnesium deficiency and I sprayed some CalMag+ (10/1) on them yesterday and today.

I would love some thoughts.

They look pretty well into flower...I wouldn't worry about it. Most plants leaves start to yellow as they near the end of flower,I'm guessing thats what yours are doing.

Continue on as you have and they will be ready for harvest soon

First, don't use CalMag+ as a foliar feed. Always apply at the roots. If you need quick magnesium, use epsom salt and water, foliar feed that.

I see what looks like spider mite damage, and brown tips indicate slightly too much nutes. Try backing off the food a little bit. There's a delicate balance with every strain in flower. Too much shocks and stunts. Too little causes the plant to cannibalize itself (yellowing leaves) and stunts growth. Autos are even more delicate. Looks good so far, though. You'll get the hang of it.

(P.S. - never foliar feed with your lights on, always do it in the dark or right before the lights go off)

Thank you for the response. I took a pretty close look and didn’t see any bugs. I’ll follow your guidance on backing off the bites.

Is this a sign that it’s time to back off mutes altogether and encourage the fade?

Is that an always rule? Like, what about using lost coast to prevent mildew and stuff like that?

you can just give it some phed water to reduce the salt build up in the soil. than you can take the drained water and check the ph and ec/ppm to find out what the levels are at. Just make sure you know the levels going in and then reduce that from the information you get once you check the drainage water.
The crulled leaves could be a indication of to much heat. what is your temps and humidity at?
Maybe have a fan blowing air around to reduce the heat from the SPF light.
Do you have a microscope or anything to look at the trichomes? it's easier to say where you are at.

So it’s best to back off spraying lost coast when the buds start thickening? I thought that’s when it’s needed most.

Great advice on checking ppm. It’s an area I’m not paying close attention to. Thank you…I’ll check next time I water.

Im pretty sure temps and humidity are fine. I’m around 72-75 F. Rh at around 45%.I have a small fan blowing right under the canopy. It’s a small tent but I think it’s moving enough air.

I have a nice digital microscope to check trichomes. I just have to be patient! Trichomes are still getting cloudy on the buds. Some amber on the sugar leaves. Getting close.
My other two grows were photos so I’m excited to get a harvest from the little ladies.

all their saying is that don't spray the flowers nor the leaves. just feed the soil. However, i think you should backoff on nutrients and just give it one round of water. Than test your runoff and see where it is at. also, to much CO2 with not enough food and too much light can all cause problems. so again, on your next watering just give it phed water and check your run off.

WHat do you expect to get when you cultivate using synthetic nutes?
that plant is purely ornamental

I am assuming that the feeding schedule is based on thisl ink
I love how on the 2nd line it states that " SOIL: Alternate usage between water and fertilizer" and i've said it twice already that you need to make sure your next feeding is just phed water and nothing else mixed. Just make sure to check the EC/ppm and ph of the water and then check the run off. These informations are cretical.

when is your next feeding scheduled?

my feeding schedule is to alternate

- feed (with Buddha grow and/or bloom)
- boogie brew tea
- dechlorinated water

my plants aren’t dry enough to water today but I’ll check ppm tomorrow when I water them. I’ll plan a mini-flush tomorrow.
Also, I always ph water. I go to 6.2 in veg and 6.4 in flower.

I appreciate the help!

Aah, thank you. I was/am planning to just water next time. I’ve been rotating compost tea into the rotation. I wonder if I should reconsider as I’m almost certainly over feeding.

Thanks for the help. It seems like a good community to join!
