Okay so I live in upstate New York and have a pretty big outdoor plant that hasn't started throwing any pre-flowers no pistols no nothing just completely still in veg..
I was told that August was the month where it would start going into flower and I'm kind of getting nervous now because I don't know if it's going to finish in time, anybody from around this area or this part of the US got any experience on this? I considered trying to do a makeshift light dep. But I don't want to mess it up by not being on time or any of that plus I already got enough going on that's a lot to take on every single day..

The bigger plants tend to take longer to go into flower, every strain is different it should be starting anyday

Thanks

Luckily she is an indica not a sativa so 8 weeks for flowering time would put you into mid October which is certainly starting to get into sketchy territory in upstate NY

I like the tent but ā€œhempā€ doesn’t need 12 hours complete darkness or we’d all be waiting til Sept. Twelve will quickly flip it but 10 hours is plenty, if the dark time is gradually increasing each night. The plant flowering cycle has been late throughout the northeast this year other than some reveg pictures i’ve seen. Unless the plant knows something we don’t it could be a race to the finish in october. Might need to think about frost proofing.
