I was also able to lower the table by like 4" by doing this.

That's what I had also, and it was becoming a pain .
Having to go back in a hr later to dump it every time. I forget at times and by the time I've noticed it's already stagnant. So this will help out a lot.
The fittings for the table were $6 at the Hydro store.
