Any one ever try growing in straight up cow poop?

Its been dried for 3 days in sun on brick wall so no smell.

Mostly because the information seems confusing.
I think the issue is with fresh manure or compost.

This has been baked in sun for 3 days on brick wall.

If I burn it it smells nice and purifies the air.

You can also cook on it or heat a house.

True about the cooking, very normal in for example India.
For outside grow i have had plants in half amount soil, half manure(old, not fresh), with earthworms in it and the plants loved it, no problems at all.
It was mixed cow, horse and goat manure.

I did pick up

Worm castings, Green Sand, Alfalfa meal, Gypsum, and Perlite to mix with aged dehydrated cow manure.

Hoping to water with spring water adding silica

Foliar feed with kelp meal

Bokash tea once a month

Top dress with worm castings

And I have rock phosphate for flower but slow acting and raw so I'm going to top dress right at switch to flower. Aiding it through flower with soluble pot ash as well.

To be honest this is my first time growing but I really read alot and had to filter through industry nonsense.

Rabbit manure will work much better if you can. Are you indoors?

I grew once a long while back with a load of manure in my mix.
I went in a few days later and it was amnityville horror. Thousands of shit flies got shop vacd. It was scary shit actually. Not what you want to see when you open your grow room door.

i know from growing other stuff, that cow poop straight from the cow is too hot.........needs to be composted, for quite awhile to mellow.......veggies say "aaaayyyyyhhhhhhhaaaaa, to hot!"
same goes for horse poop.......alfalfa is too hot of a manure unless composted, plus the weeds/bugs that go with it

I definitely agree fresh cow poop is to hot.

But has any one tried sun baking it for 3 days first.

It turns to soil that won't burn plants.

Or so I hope.

I got some clones from a friend that are in bad shape.

He was going to throw them out.

I put them directly from the cloner to a dixy cup with straight cow poop and spring water ph 6.

They have been in these cups for just over 48 hours.

I hope to transplant to 3 gallon fabric bag in 2 weeks. Again just cow poop I might cut it with perlite and add worm castings.

imho, 3 days ain't enough..........3 months might not be enough, for veggies anyways.....we have to water it and till it for 6 months to a year before using............if you listen closely, you can hear those bottom leaves screaming.........i can hear it from az

just my 2 cents...........but you might wanna ask for change tho, or one of the expert soil guys

The bottoms look scary but new growth is happy.

Bottoms did look rough straight out of clonner.

I want to keep an eye on them and continue with this practice.

I'll keep posting updates.

If it starts to go bad ill have to change the method for sure.

I'm just so curious to see what will happen.

Yak is best, it's a really big pat, and if your having a BBQ and you have some big steaks to go on, then Yak is the way to go, and it burns longer.
