Strain for hot conditions? Sour Diesel?

Yeah, it might be more like 30/30 as the lamp will heat the tent up at nighttime and the ambient indoors can easily climb to 30-35 during the daytime. Or the plants' night might be even warmer than their days, since they'll be sleeping during the hottest ambient hours. I'll see.

@RoadKillSkunkHunt & @TheGoldenRoad Thanks for the heads up for Thai. I had a look at the VPD charts on different sites and they all show different optimal RH values for 30C (86F). One says 70-75 per cent, one says 75-85 per cent, one says 67-74 per cent, one says 54-60 per cent. So ig I can't yet know if it's gonna be particularly humid, but I'll surely keep Thai in mind for the case it is.

Also, thanks for the recommendations, for @Ninjadogma too, I'll dig into these genetics and lineages and see what I can find!
Warmer night time temps are good for inhibiting stretch. Might be a good strategy with sativa. You could find some nice hazes. I'm going to run a Nevil's soon in similar conditions here in the hot and humid northeast summer.

That's very interesting. I was just thinking of reviewing my notes about how to keep the inter-nodal distance in control, but I don't think my last grow lecture said anything about inhibiting the stretch with warmer nights. Thank you!

I actually just stumbled upon a sativa called Desfrán that combines Mexican, Colombian and Thai genetics. Gonna see more about what's available locally, but that one seems mighty interesting, not only as a strain but also as an experiment to growing stretchy sativa in a tent. If I'll go for that I need to plan and prepare so that the plants aren't gonna grow too tall as I only have 180cm grow space, and I can't use all of it because of the lamp ofc. I could move the filter and the duct fan outside of the tent if I have to ig.

440 NM blue light will fight the stretch. Mars Hydro sells supplemental blues. I use them along with supplemental reds at various times of my grows. Both have a strong morphological effect on how the plant grows. Here's a picture of one of my flower tents. It has 440 nm blue, 660 nm red, and 730 nm far red. I have them on their own timers because they either aren't on for the whole grow or are only on at "sunrise/sunset" in the case of the 730 nm reds.
Lights

Since this picture was taken, I have added another set of 440 nm blue and 660 nm red.

Thanks! I currently have a Mars Hydro light, the so called beginner one, but it's been a good one. I'm still considering upgrading to a wider one, that's only 20cm wide and their fitting FC EVO would be 40cm wide, providing better distribution. Dunno how much that actually matters though. But I've had a good one with them so far.

Than 440nm for stretch control is very useful info. And the supplemental bars aren't that expensive either. I haven't read that much about supplemental lighting yet. People seem to use reds during the flowering, but quite conservatively. Gotta dive into that too.

Also, a scrog would probably help, or other form of training. Ig I could start a grow plan thread in the grow plan space about the next one after studying some.

I went crazy with the extra colors. I've been experimenting, and I'm still learning how to apply my new found knowledge.

I didn't find a spectral supplementation thread with the search. We still need that discussion thread here.
That's an idea ... I'm 32 days into flower right now and I'm not planning another run until early fall ... but I will keep that in mind.
