I am on the case; it may take a couple days to get cuts. I'm headed to the mtns for a PTO production seminar, but I should be back Tuesday night. I may have the cuts by then, as my buddy is also in the mtns. I leave tonight and I'll try to have it worked out before I leave. Nobody gets charged for any cuts I give them; a trade for good genetics would be awesome, though.
Sputnik, I really like the DreamDawg idea!

If you've got a male around or some extra beans I can make it happen. I have a closet dedicated for male flower and pollen collection. I don't charge for clones or seeds either IF YOU'RE LEGIT (NOT refering to you altitude), but I do like the barter system. I'll work on that Chemdog cut, I think I might have it by next week but only my friend knows when I'll be getting it. At the latest it will be in a month when I go down to visit her. We're having a contest to see who can get the biggest outdoor plant on her farm. I would just throw a sativa out there but I actually want the plant to finish, so I'm going with an afghani. I'll keep you posted. I hope she didn't screw up the genetic with PM either, or we might just have to do the dreamdawg. Either way, dankness will prevail.

Dunno how good their genetics are but I really like the artwork on their label...

Might be fun to work up a few designs for when you get this off the ground, eh Sput?

the possibilities are endless...

Yo crop report, do you have pictures of the roughneck? I'm interested in the strain. I like seeing original work that include some atypical breeding strains like the lambsbread and the rhino. These days it's all kush and diesel. It's good to see someone taking it back to landrace basics for a change.

I've started journaling a run from this seed lot over at icmag. Would it be bad form to do that here as well? In the meantime, I'll put some up in my gallery here.

And I hear you on the originality thing. I think we have enough diesel crosses :) -CR

Nah, just post a link, we do it all the time.

FWIW, everyone should read what happened to my crop from using Gravity or any other product containing gibberellic acid (most bud boosters have this in it). Hermie city, ruined my crop. It's under the advanced techniques forum under gravity.

Hard to believe they put GAA in budding suplements.

From http://www.rexresearch.com/hhusb/hh2cul.htm#HH210

N. Yakushkina and L. Chuikova also tested the action of GAA and Indole-Acetic Acid (IAA, auxin) on hemp:

GAA also increases the length of the growing season. GAA will inhibit the formation of flowers on Cannabis; it must not be used during the flowering phase of growth. GAA will accelerate the onset of budding by about 7 days.

Treatment of plants with 25 mg GAA/liter results in 80% of the plants being male. Female hemp usually undergoes sex reversal to a male expression, but few of the male plants produce female flowers. Thus, G. Davidyan and S. Kutuzova reported:

"Gibberellin causes the formation of male flowers, containing fertile pollen, on genetically female plants." (67)

V. Khryanin treated dioecious hemp with GAA (25 mg/liter) and produced monoecious feminized staminate hemp from the common pistillate form:

"Gibberellin, as a hormone of the plant organism, probably depresses genes which participate in the formation of flowers which have been repressed.

"Thus GAA can be used by breeders to develop monoecious cannabis from dioecious forms. Preliminary tests are necessary to determine the most effective concentration and best timing for each cultivar."

That's messed up. -CR

What I saw in '07'ish WASN'T the real Wheel. Smelled like all the AK goin' around... kinda like new carpet airing out rather than a skunk shot dead in a cedar tree....

If it YEILDS...it isn't the real Wheel. the cut I got in '07 or so would put on HUGE colas. The original cut I got in '91 never yielded for shit. If it makes anything larger than a golf ball it isn't the real cut, IMO>. Thie Wheel is stricly headies, not a commercial strain

If they have dried bud you will be able to tell. you should be able to stand on the opposite side of thier dispensary and have them crack the jar and smell SKUNK right off the bat...followed by a hazey/sweet dank that you just AIN'T gonna forget once you smell it.

NO SKUNK? No "Holy fuck...what is THAT?" ... then it's not "The Wheel".

if you find the real gig I'm am in the car, bro!

please lemme know

"The Wheel", wow I am interested in this one. I remember a skunk that ran around crews of rastas in the late eighties and early nineties that smelled so ridiculously good, all the old timers still compare EVERYTHING to her........I always wondered what the strain was, I know it had something to do with CO though, I thought maybe it was the dog, just because of the skunkiness from chemdog offspring, but you never know. Unfortunately I only smoked it one time, and really I was too young to understand what I was smoking.

the "wheel" isn't an RKS offering like the mid-80's stuff that ONLY smelled like Pepe' Le Pew was killed roadside....but that skunk funk was certainly in the mix and was the first thing to hit most folks nose. Under the skunk was complexity...and a 'knowing". you know what I mean. You smell it and you instantly know it's gonna be crazy shit....

I might have to take a little road TRIP up to NeverNederLand and see if I can suss her out/catch >>>>THE<<<< whiff. After growing her for about 15 years almost exclusively, I KNOW that smell!!!!!!

I've kicked myself time and time again for letting her go... but you know how it is...

"don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got til it's gone...."

Thanks, MJ! We're going to put 'er out there, one patient at a time.

DrFeelgood, my buddy has the original FC Cough- I just "tested" his first run of her. Tastes like 1998. I was skeptical, too, and a little surprised it's still around. PM for details.

I wonder what this thread will look like in 3 years.

Centennial seeds

Centenial seeds is a local seedbreader in boulder. I believe they only sell to dispensaries, so you have to get there. They have 4 strains, working on more. I am loving the Roughneck. /www.centennialseeds.com
