Hi,

Im currently fertigating into coco-perlite (50/50), i have 5-7 weeks left until flowering should be complete. This is my first time using fertigation so i wont be adding any elements of stress this run. If all goes well (which implies i got the important shit right), the next logical step is to make small changes to imporove the quaility. The set up for the next grow will be 9 plants, in a 3x3(1 plant per sq ft). I know its on the lower end of the density reccommended for sog, but again, i dont want to much instability before i dial everything in. I guess my question is 3 fold.

1) what elements of stress are the best for improving potency and yeild? From what i gather small amounts of UVA and B, and or water related stress can increase trichome production, and theirfore potency. I was thinking about making every monday a low water day. instead of 4 water/feed cycles, the plant gets 1, at say mid day. Essentailly dry backing it for an extra 6 hours once a week. Note the Fertigation starts 2 hours after the lights, and stops 2 hours before they shut off. Their 'Dry" at night hence dryback.

2) Is a 1000W mars hydro grow light ideal? Mars claims its capable of 3x3 but i have no accurate way of measuing the light intensity. My phone works, kinda but its inconsistent so i dont use it. im 95% sure the light is not an issue. But that 5% of me wants to know.

3) Will i need to tailor my nutreint line up? Im currently running megacrop 2 part. Its a good fertalizer and gives you some control over ratios. If i want to improve my game will i need to use targeted salts, to tailor the preset megacrop ratios to my specific strain/pheno type? For example, say i have a strain that likes lots of K. Is it worth my time to add something like potassium chloride to boost the K in that scenario? Runing clones BTW if that phenotype comment seemed out of place.

Any suggestions will be welcomed. Even if they are unrelated. Im willing to try anything reasonable, if it means i can keep pushing the boundry of my skills. Just trying to make good dope great again ;)

Thanks for your time!

This is my set up, for any intrested critics. Please tear is apart. If you see any issues give me hell. I would rather hear it here vs discover it for myself in my grow tent.

3x3x5 spider farm tent.

2x2 1000W mars hydro grow light

6 inch spider farm exhast fan (450 CFM)

Timed drip irrigation/ runoff collection system. Waters every 2 hours, starting 2 hours after the lights come one, stops 2 hours before they go off. Run off is recycled, EC and PH of main reservior is checked every day or two. (I know never recycle your run off... maybe just ignore this red flag)

mycoshark innoculant in the water

advanced nutreints sensizym (emzymes to keep the irrigation system clean) --every other reservior--

megacrop 2 Part as a fertalizer

Note I currently have no methods of controlling humidity and heat. Is this a lost cause without them? I wont be able to control humidity, the airflow through the tent is to great. That airflow is what prevents my house from smelling like a pot store, as its all drawn by the exhaust vent and put outside. Temp is easy enough in the winter, in the summer... not so much. Before you ask, no I have no oscillating fan in the tent, all the airflow comes from the vacuum drawn by the exhaust fan. Which moves the total volume of air in the tent over 6 times a minute. The plants have good airflow.
