What's up everyone! Ive been growing about a year, just not very successful yet. I'll have the best looking and just beautiful plant just when it gets to the flowering stage Im hit...I have some GC strain growing now and she's already 2ft but not flowering and now bugs? I was told to use dawn and vegetable oil in a gallon of water, so I did. Did I just screw up?

With a heavy heart you probably did.

The oil can’t be washed off so the trim will be useless.

Just thankful your not in flower & they didn’t get affected

The buds will be ok the trim not so much

Good luck

Post up a few pics and we can see if they bounce back or not 👍🏼

What were the ratios/amounts you used in the gallon? Next time use neem (not in flower) or dr bronners. And what you are going for is disrupting the life cycle, so you need to learn the pest you are dealing with and spray accordingly. Depending on the pest you may be able to make just those two work for you. Again though, depends on the bug.

Learn your adversary, befriend them, respect them, love them and THEN BLAM!🤣✌️ like Beans said, post some pics : )

What kind of bugs? If it's gnats put some mosquito bits in the water and it will kill the eggs which are near the soil surface. Water from the bottom helps 100.

Seen a video backing that up. She made a tea with bits and only watered from the bottom.

Get a close up photo of the bugs in question so we can identify them. Or try to identify them 😁

Dawn is a detergent and not a horticultural-friendly surfectant. To remove the dawn and vegetable oil film off the plant and prevent "burns," rinse the plant off with warm water, spray it down with a few drops of Dr. Bronner per gallon, give it a final rinse and then let it rest a few days under gentle light.

Sort of the right idea, but wrong products. The "soap" you want is a surfectant like castile soap (aka insecticidal soap) and there are only certain oils that are safe to use, like Peppermint, Rosemary or Neem.

So what kind of bugs are visiting your plant, or if you don't know, what does the damage look like? Might help us recommend the right surgical tool.
