Hi Guys,

I'm a commercial grower out of the UK, we're currently struggling with powdery mildew and wondered if anyone had any answers to the following;

- Will burning Sulphur kill the beneficial insects we put out? ( We can't use pesticides as its pharmaceutical crops so this is a big bill for us, don't want to kill what I'm buying. (Follow on Question, There's a possibility for us, after moving the plants from our prop room to the commercial block to turn burners on before we put our Beneficial's out, if we turn them on 2/3 nights in a row on a one off will this be detrimental to the plant?)
- In a greenhouse setting will opening up blackout screens and vents in the night be enough extraction?
- Each block we have is around 1 acre, will 1 burner be enough to cover the whole crop? (Follow on Question, We have different batches going into each crop, some are more susceptible to PM than others, is localizing the treatment a good option i.e. hanging the burner around the plants that are more susceptible.

Apologies if any of these are daft questions I'm pretty new to the industry and looking for any help I can get

Cheers,

Not sure about the beneficials, but it might smoke your lights.

Some grows here in the US are using Sulfur alternating with Athena IPM. Athena has a good SOP on their website. They are super helpful too, I would reach out to them and ask how specific beneficials do against the protocol. Athena IPM is just natural oils that dissipate very quickly and can actually be used in flower.

y'all gotta be careful using sulphur on flowering plants>overexposure leads to aftertaste(learned hard way about 30 years ago)
