Yes, 3k would be for flower. They make a 4k and 65k for veg. I think the 10k is used for the last week or two of flower.

Ganjalover, why do you say it is an overpriced gimmick?

Do these temps refer to the primary light put out, or does 3000k mean that is the only light put out? Is it ok to use the 3000 by itself for flowering or do you really need to use a couple of different spectrums to get make these work better than HPS?

Hmmm... that is certainly a good reason Ganjalover! Anyone else have any experience? what about for veg ganjalover? Did you try a 6500k? Any opinion on one of these sun pulse vs. 600w MH conversion?

While I don' run the 600w I do have their PSMH 6500K 250w in a DR60 hung vertically with no reflector....I love the bulb just like Herb said the plants look so happy, and my growth rate has noticeably increased. I plan on running their whole line when it comes time to replace my 1K,400w and 600w.

Also price wise I paid the same amount a yr ago for my 250w Hortilux.

Im happy enough with LEDs for cloning and CFLs or M/H for veg

Looks like you are in a good position to do a nice side by side. Even tho the wattage is diff, if the results were comparable or better from the 400w, then that is news, and the news is good.

What spectrum did ya go with? the 3k?

thats great news coming from you homie i just started using a 3k and the 6.4 and my plants love them as i do! less heat great spectrum =) how long you been using the herb???

I've been using the 3k 250w Sunpulse lamp in my current grow and am real happy with the results I'm getting.

Also, I think that I'll get the 10k for the last 2 weeks of flower.

I have read on multipe post on other sites that 2 400w CMH will out preform a 1000w hps. Smoling deal on the price of these lamps too. 400w cmh cost about $60 and run on old hps core and coil ballasts. Also it should be noted they burn cooler than most other lamp, spectral out put is the BEST of any lamp available.

Yes.

I've done several grows with my sunpulse 3k and I liked the results :sun2:.

I've experimented with using a Horti week 1-5 and then finishing under the sunpulse 10k and it seemed to increase resin just like a halide would if you used one to finish :rauch08:.

I grew from the begining with LUM. dual 600 with 3K bulbs . Have .Veg 6 weeks28 days into flower with back Plants. Back 2 plants g13 front 2 Purple wreck crossed with Chocolate chunk ( It was not planned!) Pictures are taken under the lights. I am using Fox Farm Nutes.

I'm using 2 of these right now in my rooms with my 600 ballasts. The rest of my room is 4000 1000w hps, as of right now, I dont see anymore trich development, yield is fine so far, not far off the 1000s, but im only 4 weeks in, so i dont give that too much credit yet. This is my 3rd run with one of these bulbs, andthey are nice, but I think I'll stick with my 1000 magnetics for a while yer, at least til a 1000 digi with a sunpulse doesnt cost over 700 dollars.

Ceramic MH bulb used in HPS Ballast/not digital has one of the best even light spectrum, (thinking about "WOODY's" (original question)
Hilux also sell's 10k bulbs, also try aquarium web sites, the use's of 10k bulb are very common for fish aquarium.

there great bulbs but to use them right you need 4 diff bulbs for you entire cycle. If you go on there site it explains. I have a friend how is using them now a and swears by them. you should read up on the 10k bulb it has uv in it and allegedly increases resin during the last 2 weeks of flower. looks sickkkkkkk lit up
