as long as they can't get in your soil...ie sand....then it will be fine....the sticky traps will kill off the flyers and the sand will prevent from entering the soil...make sure if you have a saucer to fill with sand as well so the can't get into the soil...

My list of combatting FG infestation include but are not limited to, boiling water on substrate before using, a layer of sand top dressing few inces thick, a layer of diatomateous earth top dressing, a layer of coarse pearlite at least two inces thick, layer of recycled glass specifically marketed to control gnats, gnatrol treatments at least 6 of them, bunches of sticky traps, azamax and even riverdancing...stomp clap. They have to be breeding in a windowsill or drain or something is all I can think.

the deal is gnats don't mean anything unless they are in the soil...in which case the larvae will destroy your plant...but....if they are not coming in and out of your soil...you are fine...even if the plant is cover with them...

My last attempt got bud rot on the main cola, I still blame the gnats for crawling on it and transferring the spores.

Good news is it was only a few days to harvest and the molded bud made great dabs after I dried it in the jerky maker.

The larvae feed on the roots,so if they are still around after all the preventative measures it means something is not working.

Cool ill do a combination of these methods to get mine under control. Theres maybe 4 or 5 airborne. Gonna smack em!

Looking forward to seeing how your SLH looks. I have one myself that im vegging out as a momma and id like to note stretch rate, root mass, light or hvy feeding. Etc...heres a pic of mine bout 3 wks ago. The bigger bushy one in coco (little older than the others.)

She filled out a ton since then, trimmed her up. Cant wait to snip a fat crop and hit em hard. I love the smoke SLH produces.

I don't know which ones are which of mine. Next time I will say why didnt I learn last time and label them...

That first one has one giant deformed leaf on one side that looks like three leaves melded together.

Fem seeds probably have alot of those deformities I would imagine. This is my first attempt at some known genetics, my first was some bag seed that I ended up just giving away with the surviving clones.

Dont know what is up with the SLH, all the leaves are sporadic deformed twisted and fused together.

Maybe the ones with the twisted leaves aren't SLH, maybe those are CKM?
I lost track of which were which when sprouting, two have the twisted wide looking leaves.
