Yo! So I’ve got this Triangle Kush pheno that yields poorly but is in the top 3-4 phenos I’ve ever smelled and tasted. True Grand Cru level for any wine aficionados out there. The high is standout exceptional as well.

I’ve got about 2 ounces that I’m thinking of breaking up into small jars and then keeping them in a wine fridge to store at about 62-64% rH to sample at various intervals.

How long has anyone gone with curing before not seeing any potentially positive changes? 3 months? 6 months? A year?

One week into cure, better flavor, less harsh, whiter ash. Slightly but noticeably on all accounts. Not a big difference, but notable.

One month (about where most the fresher street smoke here seems to be when it first pops up) Everything you noticed at a week, but more noticeable.

3-5 months, ime is where peak flavor meats a solid level of already decarbed THC. This is kinda the cats pajamas area for most that would buy my stuff back in KC. In terms of the most people being the most pleased with it lol (from a seller's perspective there i guess). Enough chlorophyll and cellulose has broken down, where if humidty was kept right, the bud burns slow, and it burns at a lower temp, that along side the decarbed THC will leave the flower at this point hitting what sometimes feels twice as strong as fresh dried. Ive had some plants seem like they hit harder then that by this point in the cure.

Flower in the 3-5month cure area was the easiest to sell and had the most repeat buyers, that's for sure.

Get to about a year, and flavor is starting to dull and mute, but still very there, and most the THC is decarbed. Imho, this is where the high is at it's most pleasant with most flowers. But taste usually has started to mute. Noticeable terp change when opening a jar.

2 years. Thats bed time or edible/hash bud imho now. Even if it was columbian land race sativa. The high is still usually great, but sleepy and watery eyed. Elevated cbn levels by then, and 100% of the thc will be fully decarbed unless you stored the flower in nitrogen or helium lol. Flavor will be "old weed" flavor, kinda like the good buddy green brick from back in the day. After about 2 years or so, to me, pretty much all weed starts to taste, and smoke about the same, not exact, but all very similar. Most terps have oxidized, and your pretty much just consuming fully decarbed thc, and cbn and smoke particles lol. Not much else.

Ime*
