Pheno hunting for some keepers that meet the approval of my friends. I'm looking for straight premium 93 gas, hopefully I find something worthy. I may keep a stud, but mainly looking for hot chics. The program is already in progress, not sure how long exactly, 3 weeksish from seed. The selection pool is as follows:

Sour Banana Sherbert x9
Space Monkey x3
Skull Candy x1
(Tres Dawg IX x Astrodawg)

8x8 tent
1600w or 1700w
(2 solis tek matrix)

I haven't figured out the configuration of the flower lighting yet. It's either going to be 3x600 lamps (2x hps & 1 mh vert barebulbs); or 1 1000w double ended hps and a 600w mh in the middle of the canopy. That's about a month away though. I'll be taking clones and sexing around New Year for most of these. Throwing up some pics shortly.

I've taken clones from about 11 plants. I took them from the top, which isn't ideal in my experience, but they needed to be topped any way. I'll take more clones in a week or so, and again before the flip in about 3 more weeks. I should know sex before then, and I'll up pot the chics to 5gals. I think these pics are about 4 days after my last post. I'm about 5 days behind in pics overall, but I'll be doing some work in the garden a little later. I'll snap some up to date shots then. Happy New Years Fellow Farmers!

Only two clones rooted. Here's my excuses, I visit this grow infrequently, they were tops, I only misted them every third day lol. Anyway, I'll take bottom cuts nexr week now that I have enough under growth. I never have a problem rooting 6+in cuts from the bottom.

I do have a question for anyone who's flowered a cutting out right or knows about the technique....HOW?

Getting your pots up off the cold floor and taking the trays out from under them cold wet roots are no good at all get air passing under the pots will improve there overall health to take flowering cuttings do the same as normal but I place white shade cloth over the closh to reduce the amount of light hitting them I did some 12/12 flowering cuts last week they rooted in 4 days .

Hmmm, I definitely follow where you're going and I think we're already on the same page. There's a few caveats I've left out that surely caused the first set of cuts not to root. The two most important I think were that I just took tops, which were small 2-3 node 3-4 inch cuttings; and I simply wasn't around to mist them every day until they could fend for themselves. I usually get the same 4-6 day rooting you speak of, but most of the cuts were dry by the time I came back around. I was kinda experimenting with them under a 600w in a corner, so I definitely didn't help the situation out from the beginning.

Anyway, One drop you're right though, I get exactly where you're coming from about the technique. I have a 125w cfl setup, and a 400w digital ballast I've never used that I could have used. What I'll do is just be a lot more meticulous about misting them, and use my cfl lights. I usually let my cuttings have a week of new growth before I try to determine sex. Their overall health is really good, but I was late getting to this spot a couple times, so a few pots were bone dry when I did popin. The droopy leaves at the bottom of a few plants in the most recent pics are a result of that, but all plants have been groomed and look great now. Height will definitely become an issue, so I don't want to raise the pots, and being on the floor isn't stunting their growth. I think your environment plays a major part in that, and I have room temp set in a way that my roots are cool and never cold. So yeah, I'll definitely sex the next set of clones with less light. Thanks for the bump @The Terps, and thanks for the clarity @One drop !!!

Minor update:
Things are kicking up now! The loudness is kicking down the walls. I'm waiting on a new filter at the moment. The foliage is defenitely getting out of hand, so I'm going to get this show started next weekend. I'll probably start flowering next Sunday. The plan is to take a bunch of clones next week, then flip the switch. We'll see how that goes. On another note, sour banana sherb #1 has the fattest fan leaves I've ever seen on a plant that small. It's really amazing to see this relative to all the other plants. It was one of the smaller plants, but it is really flexing on the rest of the garden.

Nope, I've been so busy that I just ended up taking a bunch more clones prior to the last pics. Today is actually the first day of the 12/12.

Here we are just shy of a week and all of the plants have shown sex. Idk, but every grow my plants sex really quickly. Outta the 14 plant hunt there's 9 dudes and 5 chics. Space Monkey #6 is by far the funkiest and one of the most unique smelling plants I've ever come across. I love its structure, but its a dude. I'm gonna make seeds with this guy once I setup my other rooms later this week. Straight stud!
