t5 w/hps for flower?

I am planning on using 3 1k hps in a room with 10ft to grow. Would the t5s help if used lower from the sides or in between the hps?

no. bottom line, no. a t5 has very low penetrating power compared to a 1000 hps.

it would be much better to use a light rail system and quality reflectors, something like a daystar or radiant hood.

i run 4 1K on 2 light rails. if i tried to put any t5's in my setup, i would need 6 or more, im guessing. i would use a 4ft 8 bulb setup, costing about $200 each, so $1200 to add t5'S to under growth. its not cost effective at this scale to add such a low intensity light to an operation. you could get 4-6 1k light setups off craigslist for that price.

but those are just my thoughts.
