Thats me lol
Yeah, sorry mate! I read that, and that's crazy. And you never know who is going to have great customer service out there. Funny thing I bought this UV/IR supplemental LED off of Amazon, messaged the seller that I was missing an install clip/cable, something I could have installed without. The seller messages me that they will send out a completely free unit to me and that will have one extra mounting cable! I was blown away, cause I didn't even want to return my original purchase, and was never disgruntled with the seller. But the seller went above and beyond for some unknown chinese company and mailed me a free $50 bar, (MSRP on amazon $75 i think, but was on "sale").

What light brand are you using now that you are done with M-Hydro? Oh, I should note that I'm so glad I read your article, because I realized that I had a daisy chain surge protector!!! I had one going in another. I didn't have much load on the second one (4 oscillating fans), but i still changed my setup so that I was not daisy chaining. It's funny cause in my head with electrical fires I always imagined like 4 daisy chain extensions, but you guys are right, it can happen with just one daisy chain. Better safe than sorry. And I'm glad you caught it before and fire damage to your house and family!!

Some comapnies will and do have amazing customer service. Mars hydro however, is not one of those companies. Ive never been a fan of daisy chain anything, it doesn't seem safe to me.
Im looking at going with the Photontek SQ300 Pro to replace my cheapo veg lights, and then possibly 2 electric sky 180 v3 lights or the HLG 350r for my flower tent.

Just after the 2nd light burned up my water heater thermostat failed and almost caused my water heater to catch fire.... just one thing after another. Had to go get a 1500 dollar loan so i can fix my house because something is clearly wrong here.

Most lights I've seen you are daisy chaining the dimmer controller (with like a phone/ethernet cable), not the power driver.

It's not like daisy chaining power strips or extension cords.
my cheap lights have daisy chaining for the power(standard female socket on one end, and the male on the other) as well as the dimmer(RJ-45), the power chaining seems common on cheap 100w boards. Manual says you can daisy chain the power up to some ridiculous amount of like 50 units. But you would have to be asking for it if you did more than 4 in my opinion.

Interesting you brought that up, because I was wondering from an experience electrician point of view (not me) if this kind of internal daisy chaining should always be avoided or not.

So, I will be in the market for a new light in the next couple months. The space I'm lighting is an ac infinity 3x3. What's everyones recommendations for an awesome light? Looking at the 400-600 dollar range.

I was looking at the hlg 300L rspec, photontek SQ300 pro, grower choice roi e420 (turned down), or maybe 2 Electric Sky 180 V3s.

Also open to any suggestions as i have a few months before I'll be making a purchase.
Man I love my HLG. 4x4 and a 600 rspec.respect. it's a awesome light and I use the attachable uv bar for Xtra feost!

Well, with the awesome deal @PhlizonGrowLight is offering right now i just pulled the trigger on a PL-4500, with the code, PHTHCFARMER8 and their sale, it was $183.99 shipped to the door. Honestly, can't beat that for a 450 watt led light. It wont see over 75% power as its going in a 3x3 veg tent.

Let us know what you think of it. I looked long and hard at them but chose instead to add an other ROI - E720. I got a great deal on mine but it was still a big chunk of money. I'm interested in what you think.

PL-4500 got here just after 7. What a mammoth it was to hang alone. Opted for just hooking the ratchet hangers straight to the light instead of using the hangers. So far im impressed, its wicked bright, looks pretty sick, and is heavy as hell, did i mention that? Lol. Turned down all the way its brighter than the 350 watts i had in there full blast. Thanks @PhlizonGrowLight for shipping it so quick. Ordered friday night and showed up today.

I also like that it has the uv/ir switch on it as well. Pretty neat.

Pulled apart one of my burnt up mars hydro lights, took the good board and hung it from my inline fan as a work light. That phlizon PL-4500 is so damn bright i have to shut it off and turn the work light on to care for the ladies or im gonna go blind by 30... just gotta remember to shut it off every time.

Can we use stadium lights as grow lights to help speed up plant growth like this article says? We can use such high power and super bright lighting to brighten the lawn.
I'm trying to install 500W LED lights above the cannabis, but the temperature is a bit high, any suggestions?
