Felt I'd go ahead and do my first diary ever, in order to document my current methods and improve upon them.

Setup

Vegetation Phase:

600w 6k Solis Tek Bulb/1000w Solis Tek Matrix Digital Ballast; Nutrients Canna A&B, Roots Excelurator, Cal-Mag, Superthrive, Drip Clean

Flowering Phase:

2 × 600w Solis Tek Bulbs (1 MH 6k, 1 HPS 6k), Solis Tek Splitter for 1000w Matrix over clocked at 1040w; Nutrients Canna A&B, Canna Boost, Canna PK 13/14, Roots Excelurator, Drip Clean, MOAB or Bloombastic TBD

Medium:

3gal Plastic Black Pots; 1" Bottom Layer Chunky Perlite, 60/40 Canna Coco & Chunky Perlite Mix Over Top (Same pot throughout, first set of leaves until chop)

Strains:

Killing Kush (only 1, 5 1/2 weeks from seed, 3 1/2 weeks under 600w, regular seed unsexed)

True Blueberry (only 1, 2 1/2 weeks from seed and under 600w, regular seed)

Tangerine Power (7 female seeds about to germinate)

Cotton Candy (2 female seeds about to germinate)

Strawberry Blue (1 female seed about to germinate)

Hawaiian Skunk Haze (5 regular seeds about to germinate)

Ok here we are a week later and everything is moving right along...it's been a few years since my last grow, but I haven't had one issue thus far (fingers crossed)...except for trying to grow 3-4 year old seeds improperly stored. So, this is what I have from those seeds...1 Killing Kush and 1 True Blueberry. I cleaned the Killing Kush undercarriage of any excessive fan leaves and took a small clone from that section. That clone is in straight coco at the moment, I will sex it once it takes root, if preflowers haven't shown by then. So, now that we're up to date on with the pics...

So, during my break from growing my wheels would constantly spin about ways to grow better and I've began subtracting certain things, so that, I became more efficient. One such thing is doing away with cfls and T5's for young seedlings. It's a waste of time imho. Once they show leaves or after 24 hrs from break ground they're getting hit with 600w, no time to bs. Also, the internodes are much short than letting your plants veg for 4 weeks or so under cfls/T5's. Anyway, all of that was kind of a seg way into the next strain. The flowering time is considerable with this strain, so I expected some stretching between nodes, but that has not been the case. I attribute the tight nodes to MH lighting ASAP.

Now on to the new seeds...First off 100% germination rate (I'm so relieved about that lol)!!! The Sincity Tangerine Powers had a very unique tiger stripe on the seeds. I seen a few seeds since my first purchase in '06, but they had the look of something special to them. I guess the best way to describe how I feel is by imagining Enter the Dragon when the chick with the girls comes to the fighters rooms and is like, which one do you like?...If, those chicks were seeds you'd say give me the Tangerine Power! With that being said, for some reason I expect the Hawaiian Skunk Haze freebies to be the dankest for some reason. Anyway, enough of the small talk here's some pics of the seedlings 1 week from seed.

I can not lie, I bought those seeds solely off your smoke report lol. When you described your friends reaction I was sold. That and the fact I've only smoked orange flavored herb once, but the stone was nowhere to be found. I remember saying this herb tastes great, looks great, but I don't know if it really weed. I may have been some synthetic herb, but it didn't look like the kind you could buy from the back of a high times (this was like 10 years ago). Anyway, how long did did you let yours go??? I'm thinking I'll try the entire 70 days...dependent on what the girls tell me...

How long have they been in veg? Any smells coming off them yet? I will flip the switch roughly 4 weeks from Monday on everything...

Here we are a week later...pretty smooth week with two minor issues. I gave a nice hair cut to the Killing Kush and True Blueberry two days ago, which they responded favorably to. The Killing Kush had the slightest of slight tip burn (thank God for super 20/20 lol) that I doubt the average grower would mind or see, but the more experience I've gained has left me with a Walter White complex...I hate seeing burnt tips.

Anyway, I've been flushing the KK with ph'd water for the last two days (it's drinking about 3/4 a gallon everyday)...runoff ppm was like 943 I believe. I wanted to find it's limit being that I've never ran this strain before and this is my first run with Canna nutes. So, I won't use 12 ml per gallon of Canna A&B any longer; I think 10 ml per gallon should be my limit. Any insight on the max A&B from experience would be appreciated???...

Issue #2. I have never had any pests in my grows EVER. I don't know how, but I think I may have one nibbling on my True Blueberry and Cotton Candy leaves. I mosquito dunk all my seedlings and every time I transplant. I add dunk to my coco mix before transplant and sprinkle on top of my coco to water in as well. Everything is sealed, ultra-clean, and I haven't seen any bugs at all. It may be genetic, but that's merely a guess. I have never seen this from leaves before, so any insight on these leaves would more than welcome and appreciated. Cotton Candy is the small one. Well, I guess that's about it...time for the pics

Now on to the little ones...they are really beginning to show their genetic differences. The Hawaiian Skunk Haze really looks Hazey in structure, the Cotton Candy leans to the Sativa side, the lone Strawberry Blue and Tangerine Powers look somewhere close to the middle.
