Ok I know many of you have seen these pictures on a couple of other threads. This is what the "Tarantula" pheno looked like when we chopped it down. This was grown from seed, with very little tlc, using only Jacks hydroponic formula. This is mother used to make the TarDawg seeds...

As I have mentioned before the plant stood out from early veg all the way through flower. The stems were so strong that they easily supported the massive swollen buds. This was one of the first plants that displayed the idea of structure to me so soundly. Its worth growing plants that dont freaking get all floppy in flower!

The buds were massive and impressive even to a jaded grower. Only a true dick would be unimpressed by the plant. I know that there are a couple of you out there. You could easily see a whole room of just this one pheno. There was only one problem however. My clones were having problems and not rooting!

I was happy that I had taken the lone male StarDawg and dusted this plant. Many of the seeds I made in fact came from this big ass bud!

I dont know why but the seeds are so huge! Way bigger than average not that, that means anything. This Raskal bud was bigger than average.

After a cure the smoke was crazy good. So smooth. Had a bit of a tootsie roll aroma and huge resin glands that crunched......

StarDawg is a stronger high however, and is much more potent weed in the way it can hit you right between the eyes with a nice hammer punch. The Tarantula pheno did not smoke that way. I love the high of a potent StarDawg pheno! Its nice and truly potent weed. So dank!

At the end of the day I got one clone to root form my Tarantula pheno. I harvested not too many seeds, some of which were mailed into Logic and are up for auction right now. This was a one time batch of seeds.

I want to stress that, while the seeds are amazingly healthy and the plants grow with crazy vigor, I dont know what the end results of growing out the seeds will be all the way through to bud. Plenty of ressesive genetics!

These should yield a cool pheno here or there, but I can make no promises on what might be found. Grow these out for fun only without great expectation!

Having said that these plants are heavy ass feeders! They are Mg hungry! Shit....

Indica driven plant.........

I found the AlienKush influence to be there...In the Straw Mix pack the sativa phenos are very clear and easy to see....for example the StrawBubba Sativa pheno has thin, almost spindly branches and leaves, yet makes bubba buds. Its crazy! Before I realized it was a bubba pheno I was seriously wondering what the hell it was.

This plant was clearly indica dominate in terms of, I believe, a stronger influence from the AlienKush side of things...the plants strong structure is an indica trait. The stems were stout and strong and thick...

The smoke was killer after a 2 month cure. Looked amazing, smoked clean and pure to the whitest of ash. The high to me did not cut through all of the StarDawg I was smoking on a daily basis however. It was not as potent a strain overall, that I can say. If you tolerance is insanely strong for cannabis, and this is nothing to brag about, you need the raw power and punch of JJ's StarDawg.

Overall the Straw Alien smoke was not a couchlock indica by any means. Def a sativa influence in the high. Nice clean and heady for sure, not super energizing but not driving you to take a nap either......kind of a hybrid high....

There are a lot of killer phenos to be found in the Straw Alien. Just killer...others can vouch for this...

There are a lot of killer phenos to be found in the StarDawg mix...some more a Chemdog D leaning and some a Chemdog #4....

StarDawg is what I wanted to smoke every day! Tarantula is what I wanted to look at. Its tootsie smell was killer and the Tarantula cures kinda strawberry looking in color...the resins were crunchy and swollen.....sounded cool to hear them crunch when I pack a bowl...

Have you ever popped any of these TarDawgs to give us some idea on the pheno's we could get or are we basically testing these seeds if we get them on the bay? This might be the closest thing to having stardawg. I just hope we get some Stardawg dom pheno's.

I believe the StarDawg male will exert a good influence on the seeds based on the heavy feeding that my young plants are needing. The Tarantula didnt need to feed heavy, while StarDawg needs extra Mg for sure from birth! Im growing them out literally right now, hence the first post in this thread. Ive given away many, many of the seeds already and mailed Logic the last 5 packs. We are all testing them together....thats what ive been saying...no telling what we will find! If StarDawg is your goal, keep in mind, just in that strain there are many phenos. You will score some seeds in time im sure of StarDawg. Also hunt in packs of GuavaD and TreStarDawg.

In any poly hybrid you are going to find a wide range of phenos and some might suck for whatever reason, some might be great!

I dont think it (this cross) will suck too much though!! Its JJ and Raskal mixed together in a polyhybrid surprise.

Here is a picture I just took right now of my 2 different StarDawg phenos...I took this lights out in the dark so sorry it sucks and is blurry....Ive been flushing them longer than usual as an experiment. Chopping tomorrow...

The plant on the left has greater internodal spacing and smaller nugs and wider leaves. The plant on the right has fewer buds, however, they are larger. They smell like chemmy dank diggidy dank dank. Cant wait to chop them down!

Great looking plants man. I think you have a winner with your tardawg. The Stardawg f2s are going to be really interesting too. Have u considered selecting from the f2 gen and making f3s?
You are very generous and I admire your spirit. U seem a very level headed guy, and Im glad Ive had the opportunity to speak with you. I look forward to seeing more of your projects. Good luck in everything, and keep it up

TortureKill the StarDawg F-2's were only made because one of the plants was a male. No other reason. It was beside 5 other StarDawg females so I let seeds form on the plants.....no selection was used to make the seeds as there was only one male.

Ive had zero thoughts on making F3's to be honest.

I didnt make any seeds with any intentions, just stuff happening in the growroom. I really think my only project is learning to grow truly healthy cannabis which is actually very hard to do...

Aint that the truth.

I will say its sad to see youre putting down the breeding hat after just one accidental great cross.

Im thinking you should keep at it my friend. From what I understand healthy cannabis produces the BEST offspring :pimp:

on a side note 3 of my seedlings have breached the top soil. Just waiting on the last Sr to pop up.

Check this out:

Pick some up.

You got any of that Tarantula or stardawg left from your last run?

Ill get some picks up with an update of whats going on. Going to keep them in veg another week I think....Got some killer looking white dawgs, a couple of nice jazzberry jams, wifi x alien from Raskal as well! A couple of the TarDawgs are looking great too!

I shut down my flower room and cleaned it up and put in a nice new floor. Relined everything with fresh panda after spraying bleach and sulphur burning the bare empty room. Lining up my new raptors tomorrow all vented with an 8 inch fan. Attached a new Can-Lite 10" filter to my 10" can fan max. Instaled brand new ducting as well, always the expensive thermoflow stuff..

Im learning with it! I think its a great camera to start out with. Very solid choice for a newb like me! Takes great pictures and the price point for the t2i is in the sweet spot. The t3 is crap for the money because you dont need the screen.
