I germed 5 purple berry and one seed did not pop. I over fed my plants a few weeks into their lives, as is easy to do in hydro, by leaving the pump running. The roots cant handle more than 25-30 mins max being underwater before damage occurs.

I ran the pump when I switched from the old timey push pin timers to digital timers on my pumps. I made a mistake and ran the water for hours one day when all of these plants were just past seedling stage. To be honest the purpleberries never really were the same after that. They became little bonzai plants with tiny curled leaves. All the other plants seemed to make it ok even though this was a horrible setback. If you grow hydro you will leave a pump running. Be prepared! Make sure your drains can handle this occurance. To make this mistake later in the plants life is not quite so bad, to do it early seems to fuck things up a bit....you fall off of the wave that your plants are riding and it takes a while to catch another one...

Now that I have correctly set my digital timers I love them. I flood the tables now for the exact amount of time it takes to fill them up....not an arbitrary 15 pushpin minutes.

I have one purple berry plant that I will grow out of the 5. It is a female. I will get some shots of the plant. It is not even week one in flower so nothing to really see as of yet.

Might eliminate down to one Jazzberry as well and take a clone or 2 of that plant.

I will grow out the remaining seeds of the purpleberry bx in time and do them justice. I dont like struggling with seeds and these are a couple of strains I messed up on and paid the price with subpar veg results, leading to weaker plants, not worth taking all the way in flower.

Looks like 3 of my 5 whiteDawgs were male and are getting the axe.......

1 more TarDawg, in fact the squat StarDawg looking pheno in the picture above is a male and will get the axe......looks like 3 are females.

The Alien Fire from Raskal are starting to look crazy. There is one plant that I thought was a male from the start. It was so big and tall and huge from day one, I assumed it was a male. Well I was wrong, dead wrong. This plant is taller than my raptor is hanging and I just switch to 12/12. I cant believe the size of this plant. I feel bad that I did not take a little better care of it.

I will take cuts and throw them in my little homemade aerocloner. It has 100% success making roots......

Is is the Alien Tech influence or the LVPK traits that makes the plant so big? There is No way that this is an OG pheno..........

Niceee SNOW... is this the Alien you were referring to in the Crap PM? Clone project?

Here is the TarDawg male before it got the axe...........this pheno was a little more squat, denser structure and seemed to me at least, to look a little more like the StarDawgs that I have grown out before....the second picture is of one of the Whitedawg males......I set these plants out, didnt water for 24 hours yet they still looked perky so I snapped these pictures....the lighter green is all the new growth. Man they look green.

Ive wondered this for a while now... When new growth is lighter in color is that a bad sign?

I think most TarDawg phenos will be best at 8-9 weeks. Many people take StarDawg at 8-9 weeks saying 10 is not needed....

The Alien influence speeds things up as a trait a touch if im not mistaken.

Justblazen ive learned that you can never really tell much based on appearence. Short and stocky might not flower as fast as a tall and lanky plant. Short and stocky does not have to mean female or indica either......also some plants can be indica dominate and still flower in over 10 weeks.

Ive wondered this for a while now... When new growth is lighter in color is that a bad sign?

I always believe the new growth to be light green! Its not bad at all. Under the glare of the intense hps spectrum your plants look washed out a little and the shades of green are harder to see. If you take the plant to normal lights for a viewing or to take pictures they will look very green. Like amazon green! Or at least mine do and I assume everyone elses do as well.

nice line up SB

Thank you so much....my little Loompas are doing ok. Ill throw up some pictures if things get interesting....I know thats what gets you excited.

After looking last night, the new OG Kush x Alien Kush from Raskal, are starting to look really special. All the plants seem really happy and are thriving. A couple of TarDawgs are rocking along as well. Did another sulphur burn even though I see no pm...I want to stress you dont react to pm as its always too late then. Instead want to you try and prevent pm with an active assault before you even see signs of the dusty white spots. Sulphur burns are a main tool in your kit to defeat this horrible disease.

Anyone heard from JJ in awhile?

Update.......

This is how I hang my Raptors....any questions please ask.....

2 by 4 drilled into place and a light rail is attached, just the rail , no motor....I then have 2 trolleys per hood with jack chain....little stops keep things in place....especially at the ends...

The beauty of this system is the abilty to slide the hoods back and forth and also one person can raise and lower the lights one side at a time alone without any help.......things are solid and secure for such large bulky hoods!

Notice in the last picture the shade line on the wall, seen against the white panda plastic. That line is called the kill line, it needs to be as close as possible to your plants without damaging them while maintaining an even light spread.....the closer the light, the more more bud you grow. I would argue that simply moving your light closer to your plants is the simplest thing you can to do increase your yield and bud density.

And here are some pictures of the stunning OG Raskal OG Kush x Alien.....and a picture of a female WhiteDawg....and a group shot of a table....

The Raskals are looking really dialed in and are loving the simple Jacks Hydroponic.........its $25.00 for 25 pounds......check out the color of the the plants all the way out to the edge of the leaves........solid green....man im happy they are happy....no additives except for some epsom salts 1 gram per gallon of water.....these plants look better in person and these pictures dont do them any justice. They are stunning looking in person!

The trolleys I got for cheap as in 6 for $30 bucks, but thats because my hydro store guys are cool as shit and ive spent a lot of money, the trolleys cost might deter some people from hanging their lights like me, but that is ok. This is the way I roll and I love it! Just to be able to move the lights back and forth is a godsend when changing bulbs, adjusting the ducting ect.....2 trolleys distributes the weight evenly......the jack chain is very strong as well.

Ive got a Straw Bubba not a White Bubba..

Et I will talk to you very soon about a few things....

A picture of my electrical.....im so anal I ran #4 to my cap box..no chance of that wire getting hot ever....that 4 awg runs to a fuse/circuit box on the wall and is on a 40 amp breaker just for the light......plenty for only 3k they should never push the circuit to hard......

Not a bad update for this morning and a good look at how I do things....

check out this Hugo block test im running...I got an idea to use the Hugo in my bucket system. Im going to cut a piece of a grodan slab, set the Hugo on it in my cap bucket system.....thats a Ronnie James Dio im testing in the Hugo and I must say im blown away....

Yes those Raptors were $170 each in Sf....

I have an 8 inch fan cooling the 3 hoods and the air is around 64-66 maybe. The hoods stay very cool to the touch at all times. Room temp is 75 with the lights on......no burning of the plants or light bleaching. I have run my lights (hoods) so close as to cause light bleaching on some strains such as sfvogk. That shit is a little sensitive to light. Even though I did bleach some buds I still ran the light as close as possible to the buds! Also, if your hood makes hot spots in the canopy, then it will be harder to get the light as close as possible as the hot spots will upset the plant the most. My radiant hoods had horrible hot spots, but I bought those before I knew about the Raptors. Ive never run my lights 18 inches or higher over my plants, always lower. I saw the SeeMoreBuds dvds a few years ago and thats where I learned to get my lights as close as possible to the canopy. Too close is too close so its going to be a little different for everyone. More light = big dense buds!

Radiants are good if your space is limited. The Raptors are fing huge hoods!
