TC2's Main Thread / Garden Updates

Oh I see I was thinking the atomizer was just for blowing air not both. Cantaloupe looks really good wish I grew one just to compare to the store. But for you living in California when does your guys crop finish out that way?

Didn't get much yield from the cantaloup but it was tasty. I am expecting a mid October harvest for my outdoor, its lemon haze x lemon cheese.

Hahaa at least it was tasty, the fruit of your labor. That's a good strain you got never heard of lemon cheese. Mid October isnt bad, up north in BC it would be late October or November pending the strain and if you can beat the weather. My plants will finish before that since I built a darkroom for light deprevation, hopefully before the end of September. Bubba Kush x Blue dream but they were clones from an unreliable source.

Love me some Bubba Kush or some Santa Cruz Blue Dream. If those cuts end up being legit you are going to have some fire. I was originally expecting late October as well, but my plant started to transition a little bit early this year.

Its basically an existing tiny office I have in my garage. I will be growing in about a 4ft x 2.5ft space on the desc.

Yeah similar growable space to a small tent, but with the benefit of having somewhere to stand, a real door and some shelves. There is a video of the room on this other thread

Weighing my best grow space options.

So its been a while since have done any indoor, but I want to start playing around with it again, after this outdoor season. I have this tiny room in my garage, with a permanent desk built into it. Basically their are two spots I could potentially setup a grow. One of them is on the desk, which...

Feeding this plum fermented fruit juice tommorow. This is one of the experimental ones from made without any brown sugar. Bacterial sediment has formed on the bottom, white fungal layer at the top, nicely carbonated, no black or blue molds, smells like some strong plum wine. Pairing it with some liquid fish and insect frass.

Finished blacking out the windows on the indoor today. Active out was done last weekend, ran 8 inch through the ceiling of the room with an inline fan. Working on passive in next, which has to look all legit on outside of the hose. My vent, caulk, caulking gun, holesaw bit and filter all have come in the mail, so I should be able to start on that tomorrow.

Fed the cucumbers some nectarine ffj and down to earth vegan blend 3-2-3 today.

Not much to do on the outdoor today, just a gentle misting with Safer brand caterpillar killer.

Called the hydro store that has been horrible ever since it switched owners, they still don’t have the vermicrop worm castings I have been waiting 3 weeks for them to restock. I used to be fine with eb stone castings, until I got a bag of the eb stone potting soil and it literally killed every plant it touched, even an entire tray of beans. So I lost trust in that entire company. How does that even happen? I think it might have been tainted with herbicides or something.

My own worm bin is in recovery mode since I accidentally used it all up and had to repopulate with some worms from my parent’s compost.

I guess I will just keep using the insect frass for teas until they step up and order some premium castings or my worm population recovers.

I feel like supply chains have been so messed up this season.

None that stock the product’s I want, like bu's blend, Big Rootz soil, Vermicrop or Vermisterra castings. That is what sucks is how badass the old store was. The old store owner had some of his outdoor test at over 30%.

Yeah, hopefully that will get sorted out. I know for the bu’s blend, the demand grew too fast and cows just can’t shit fast enough. There is a statewide shortage.

Tomato cuttings are all rooting nicely after 1 week in the window. Added a couple drops of kelp ferts, hence the brown water.

Those going back outside eventually or what do you do with them?

Also: why are Italian tomatoes so out of this world?

One jar is sweet 100's and the other is yellow pear tomatoes. I am going to plant the yellow pears outside in the garden and leave the sweet 100s out front for the neighbors to take.

Anyone else love cheap hose end sprayers? I didn’t whip out the atomizer once during veg since the hose end sprayer is so dang convenient and still has great coverage. They are about 10 dollars and they mix the solution in as your spray.

They soak the plant, so I prefer the atomizer in early flower.

My neighbor's house is wrapped in a fumigation tent, which is sketching me out. Probably will be fine, just not stoked about it.
