defoliation differ's from plant to plant , defoliating in vegetative stage is best some plant will react different some after only 3-5 leaf taken of and some will be ok with 20+ ..if taken of too much plant could be shock and could affect your ending yield.. lollipoping is a great way to get great ending product.. I personally defoliate every useless leafs on the inside of the plant and then remove any branch that will end in popcorn bud
with lst then scrog to make a even canopy and removed any dying or yellowing leafs in flowering only few at a time.. you don't want to shock it either.

and i use shear and not my finger to cut the leafs anyone does it diffrently?

curious to know other's methods as well!

happy growing!

Thanks slick P! I usually also lollipop and tie down but had a few of my plants display some hermie shit after a “heavy defol” i guess they because a bit stressed for one reason or another ... it seems to be just one variety of plant so maybe unstable genetics
