I tried taking the best pics but tell me how much longer I should hold off. The strain is Ashoka by smoking mids kills. Triangle Kush x Pluto. These pics where taken today 2nd day of week 8. Triangle kush flower time is 8-10. And pluto is also 8-10. Im most likely going to chop at the end of week 9. I would like your thoughts tho.

id have no problem taking that plant right now. but others might say different. my thought is if you wait for the hairs to start turning completely you may run into some trichomes degradation. you’ll get told to leave it alone for now by most.

So this is my like 4th grow, wym by swelling. All harvest in the past i grew from clone and cut right at the end of week 9. This is my last grow for a while as my first born is coming in July. I also started these puppies in the end of May from seed. So I wanna make sure I really harvest at the right time

the plants will swell up and gain weight in the last few/couple of weeks.

I dont have any good comparison pics. But you can totally see the difference in a few weeks. Some strains the hairs will keep pushing so youll be waiting for them to turn and they wont. Some strains the trichomes can skip the milky and go straight amber.

Watch for swelling, trichomes on the buds and not sugar leaves, along with what the hairs are doing. Those three factors will help you decide.

Mind you the 7 months of veg was only under 500ppfd I was lazyyyyy this grow. The canopy coverage u see if only from 2 plants

The top photo looks like it’s just beginning to be ready, meaning you can take it now but earliest I’d consider chopping. I’d take it a couple more days if it were mine. The top photo is just starting to show amber. I chop when most of the pistils have turned and minimal white pistils are still popping, 10-15% amber. You could also take a mid plant bud off, set it out and let it dry for 3 days and sample it. Should be a good indicator of where it’s at.

You could stick with the plan, or you could chop it now, lol. If you're curious you could chop the top half now and the rest later. That way you could compare them side by side and see which suits your tastes better.
