TGR’s High Elevation Grow Journey

I’m not sure what that meant! But it didn’t sound too promising! I’m a little slow!😁 Haha I’ve always had good runs with outdoor plants that have grown huge. Last year the sun torched almost everything. 🤣

long as ya keep the roots happy the peaceblaster f2 and those land races should do ya wonders for that. The land races may not be the dankest flower but youll have a lot of it. Both should be elevation loving, sun loving champs up there.

The peaceblasters are pretty damn dank. They def shake sticks. And supremely yieldy too. theyre the most sun loving lineage ive ever worked with. They've taken sun thats burned my cacti and stood proud so long as ya keep those roots nice and moist through it. Their rain, drought, and heat tolerance have all been pretty remarkable. Thanks be to the columbian on that.

If only I knew what the “Mexican Red Hair” strain was I’d hunt it down. That’s all we knew it by in the early 90’s in Ohio.

I will check that out. No idea if it’s actually good but it was a hell of a lot better than the norm.

Thanks to @Thatoneguyyouknow_ we’re now working with Oaxaca, Michoacán, and Columbian. It’s gonna be one hell of a fiesta.

make sure ya keep an eye on the columbian S1's. so far theres been about a 50% genetic hermie rate on those according to reports back. seems about 1 in 4 totally clean. All of them making super vigorous sativas that want to get big fast

Hit a clean one with some oaxacan male pollen and youll have one helluva regseed elevation/heat loving sativa land race lineage. And choices between a few pheno expressions next year too.

Sorry for double post. Its that time of year i start getting super excited about stuff.

The Oaxacana and michoacan both make beautiful pure sativas. All seedlings more or less identical too. They check out for sure so far

just do what i do and start way too many and worry about decisions and the problems that arise later

Id rather start more then i need and just cull some later vs. starting what i think ill need or want, and end up with regrets.

If youre in a tough part of the country, survival of the fittest ya know? May the best plant make it to the solstice As long as theyre outside on natural photoperiod schedule a week or two before preflowers they wont try to flower or reveg. Just put em in ground once ya know the sex and only run with the best plants or something like that.

What to decide? You grow at least one of each! Michoacán is legendary! I would go with one guy on this and grow whatever he send your way!

Hey there @Thatoneguyyouknow_ how big will you let those Mexican strains get before flowering? I wouldn't mind flowering out a few indoors, but don't want them to grow into and above the light (7ft)

mexi-red is a columbian/oaxacan cross

Like i said, find a clean plant from those columbian S1s and hit it with a male oaxacan.

Those columbian S1s are from fire-hair tree-sativas in the columbian mountains. And those oaxaca are gathered at source.

Pb2 and 4 are both fire hair phenos. PB4 is columbian dominant. PB2 is a skunk/chem

You will absolutely find nostalgia and satisfaction both in those/these beans lol.

chems, skunks, fire-hairs, piny buds, savory buds. What you wont find in the lineages i sent is sweet/sugar/or citrus lol (i mean you might, but id be quite surprised). It's all "classic weed". You probably wont even see any purpling outside the haymeadow crosses.

actually thats a lie, sometimes the pure columbian can go pretty sweet smelling, but def isnt fruity. More like hint of bubblegum underneath some musk.

i dont actually flower these particular plants inside. Just the peaceblasters and the crosses. It's a nightmare lmao. Some will go on flowering for 3 months and stretch for 1/3 of that.

Had a columbian get 14ft tall, 16ft wide (was topped several times) outside last year, and pull 3 pounds of canopy buds. never even weighed in the larfs. The oaxacan and Michoacan both flower even longer then the columbian by a bit.
