It was a great evening up here. Had the Coasties up on the lake tonight. Those are some tough men and women there.

I keep as much as I can. The Erskine Fire tore through here the year before we moved. There’s a lot of defensible space everywhere but what did a lot of houses in was the 55 mph wind. The people I’ve talked to said it was like a flame thrower.

If you didn’t know I don’t trust the government now you know. So the year before the Malibu fires we had a fire at a palm tree farm in the desert. There was a local news story ( city paper, not even local tv ). Had drone video showing the fire out. Burnt area ash mild lingering smoke. Zero firefighters on the scene. Later on in the day there’s smoke everywhere. Palm tree ambers landing in my yard from like 10 miles away. Local news reports on it and fire officials from the indian reservation along with blm stated the crew was battling the incident all night and haven’t been able to contain it. The reservation and blm weren’t allowing other firefighters on the scene to assist. Another strange thing about it is there’s only two roads in or out. If we need to evacuate it’s Maui. I feel like it was a test run. I know dang well from the drone footage that the fire was out and no one was on the scene all night battling it. There wasn’t even a crew on scene looking for new hotspots…. And get this the drone footage was removed from earlier in the day from the local place and YouTube. It probably wasn’t even four hours.

Windy little plants out there on the tundra. They’re starting to grow quick and I’m pretty happy with the decision to only put two in there.

fwiw, theres like 1000 more of that f1 where those came from. I seeded out an entire pb4 clone with an ounce or two worth of buds on it last fall. I made more of that cross then anything else actually. If i actually counted, shit, at least 500 ripe stripers probably. I got a weighty bag of those. they grow like wild hemp and reproduce like rabbits () and should make lots of highly desirable oldschool sticky icky. gonna be a very strong lineage. The pb4 x haymeadow are probably the prettiest young plants ive popped this year. Easily the most vigorous out the gate.

i started them like a week after the banjo blaster and queen B and theyre in the lead considerably still, and havent even been pulled out of their solos yet or fed as much, nor as heavy. Every day im a little more scared to plant them in ground here tbh. So im letting thmem get a bit bound, then off to 1 gals to get a little bound, THEN off to real erth lmao. Really wish i had last year's patch space lol.

idk how big your fabric containers are, but if the plants are well fed, expect them to probably outgrow them lmfao. youre gonna be watering and redressing very frequently later on me thinks. So far their vigor exceeds my expectation honestly.

Oh! I should note the bottom of the pot is on a patch that was dug out and lined with chicken wire underneath and filled back in with soil. It’s got a 1.5’er under each. Wanted to see where that went.

so far the peaceblasters have produced more females then males with that haymeadow pollen, but literally everything else's seeds have produced more males then female. Across 3 growers the banjo x haymeadow have maintained a 7/10 male rate. My male rate overall was like 65% on the 24 seed haymeadow hunt.

For whatever reason lmao. I dont even have a guess on that one. luck of the draw lmao. flip a coin 100 times, i could easily see getting 65 heads and 35 tails or vice versa, and it being totally different the next 100.

I don’t know why this NL reminds me of Christmas but I like it. Definitely a cool plant. I will run this one again.

LMAO I’m good on the POTM

I have the blurple up on the ceiling next to the big bar. Extends the end of the “dead zone” a foot or so right now.

Week 5 is a wrap here in a couple of days. Almost there I’ll be excited to pop what she throws down.

Just painted up a couple Banjo cola buds with some Thai dominant haymeadow male pollen now that I'm watching the Thai Dom female bud out.

Thinking those are gonna be split between you me and capt

Was looking at these two next to each other, and it sank in I have a male counterpart to this Thai Dom female outside, and I'd be a fuckin moron for not making this cross.

Thai Dom haymeadow

Banjo

They even have complimentary structure, leaf geometry, and color lol.

A thought occurs.

when it gets real hot and bright in the heat of summer btw, be conscious of how close highly reflective surfaces are to your gals (surfaces like white walls)

1 south facing white wall by your girls will actually increase the intensity of light they get during full sun in September by like 30%. An east or west facing, depending on your arrangement, can still increase luminosity exposure by like 20% depending on time of day. Back In kc i used the white paneling on the house to great advantage with a tiny fenced yard and big trees near by for my outdoor clones. In high dessert cali with plenty of exposure though, that may become a detriment not a salvation.

A plant in front of a well lit, white, south facing wall could very well be seeing 7000+ ppfd during mid afternoon lol. Higher elevation will intensify that even more. The sun on its own where you are, mid summer, mid afternoon, is like 5000 ppfd with base luminosity off the charts lol.
