Our 7 year old got diagnosed with dyslexia this year! Man what a tough little kid! We were able to get him in with someone who specializes in reading with kids who are dyslexic! He’s already come along way but will always struggle with some aspects of it. Little turd is a wiz with math though! And he can build like crazy : )

i can read entire lines at a time if im clear minded and focused, i can even read a line based on my immediate memory of what it looked like. often im not that mindfully focused though, (or something is preventing me from being....lol) and have to go word by word often, and when im reading that way, its slow, jumbled and weird, and takes a bit to sink in.

If a line has a bunch of crossed "t's" or L's and capital I's that are next to charachters like lowercase g's, q's, or if im trying to read cursive writing, i cant go by the image of a full line, and word by word, a good way to describe what a line with a bunch of characters like that, i have to force myself to read word by word, is that it looks a lot like Elvish script from the lord of the rings books lmfao. Which i did actually enjoy enough to finish. Eventually. took several years lol

Only reason i can type so quickly is because i learned to touch type letter by letter from home row, and i actually dont look at the keyboard or the screen either one, then just edit it afterwards. When im done typing i go back and space it out into paragraphs so i can actually proof read and edit more effectively.

"When typing i dont if i go back and space it out" was how i originally wrote "When im done typing, i go back and space it out" and that was likely because i started looking at the screen while i was typing. not sure, im stoned on pretty powerful cannabis today hahahahaha.

I literally had to come back in after proof reading, space this all out, and try and make sense of my own writing, and put something in its place that actually makes sense if someone else bothers to read this. That's just one specific example of a few sentences i had to re-tranlslate into something that might actually make sense to whoever read it on this one

sometimes you might even catch me mid-edit and see some pretty funny shit if i fucked up and posted before i edited lmfao. Which becomes more frequent an occurrence the later in the day it gets.

I think I’m officially done offering advice to help threads. Everyone either has a CalMag problem or they want to argue about why their wizardry is past your comprehension level. Or option number three which is completely ignore what everyone says. I don’t know who plopped a steamer in the gene pool but it’s bad out there.

Yeah we’re trying to figure out how exactly he is seeing things, we homeschool our kids with the help of teachers from the program we use. They have special books for kids with varying degrees of dyslexia to help them better see words and all! We practice reading all day long rather than just do a lesson of English and move on. Hes huge on books on tape too! Im glad i pushed to have him screened, no body was listening to me. Thats why i pulled him out of the “public” school system. SO MUCH BETTER OFF! “But oh no they are going to be weird because no friends!” (Not saying you think that at all) his entire class of like 150 kids had a party at the park yesterday for a few hours : ) and they do classes weekly all year long. He’ll be fine : )

Thanks for sharing your personal experience!

Dialogue is what brings new visitors into a journal anyway, not monologue.

My journals tend to be case and point of that. I genuinely lol'd a bit when tgr popped in and was all like "Well, ive found my new home away from the trainwreck"

Genuinely, lol my friend. I got that a few times last year too

Believe it or not in real life I'm not either. I come across as a quiet, cynical, grumpy asshole most of the time I think.

I think some of my blinders/filters go poof when it's just a keyboard and a screen. That whole "separated from real consequence" thing the internet does

But I also have a mild stutter and a lisp, and don't like hearing my voice. I don't think anyone does, but I mean with my own ears. I actually prefer my voice on recording

P.s. @TheGoldenRoad I can't do boomhauer anymore can't do randy savage anymore either without damn near hacking a lung.

the true land race durban is a homogenous feralized pure sativa land race, just like the new world sativas. they are escaped feralized drug strain cannabis.. With true durban land race every single female and every single male is practically identical. theyre homogenous, or they wouldnt be considered a land race yet, they would still be called feral cultivars technically. Wild is a good word, but unpredictable definitely doesnt apply imho. Its actually one of the most predictable cultivars that exist.

Most seedbanks hybridize it to make it an easier plant to grow, but no ones going to be disappointed with the smoke quality on true durban land race. The wild homogenous cultivar can test well into the 20s... wild, uncultivated, and seeded lmao. Just like the afghan and thai land races. Whats going to disapoint them is the fact that growing a true durban female around no pollen will almost always force hermie the plant. The main reason durban gets hybridized though isnt to make it more consistent or predictable, that actually makes it less consistent and predictable unless you run a long chain of backcrosses on the original pheno...

Durban is naturally a genetically bound hermaphrodite plant when grown without pollen around in my experience. Thats probably a huge part of hybridizing it. Thats why i crossed it.

All the new world "gold" strains are hybridized because theyre usually only 10-12% thc in true land race form, and most people are going to whine about the flower then accuse you of ripping them off if you give them the straight land race because some other seedbank "has it and its a 25% thc indica" apparently. That does not apply to durban, true afghanica, or thai though. Its not a matter of predictability and consistency or potency with them, and true sativa land races are the most predictable and homogenous naturally occurring plants that exist, and durban is actually one of the most consistent there is in that group. Its more consistent than any wild columbian, thai, or afghan cultivars as of today thanks to geographic isolation from other genepools. There is a seamless constant transition from thailand to india to afghanistan, and youll find pure thais to pure afghans, and just about every expression in between on the way. All the wild durbans are nearly identical though. Theres only one cultivar of them. The nearest other cultivars are like 1000 miles to the north of Durban.

Okay

In the fall I’m going to do a run of Lazy Lightning from Bodhi that @MartyMcFly42oh sent.

If I ran something like Grinspoon and got it to where Jan 1st was week 1 of flower, it would be ready by the first week of May indoors.

Providing the summer harvest is good that is.

That’s all I got

Too much unheard solicited advice has been wasted on people with 12 members throwing darts at a cannabis deficiency story board. It’s a game of who is Pepe Silvia
