So I guess there are some hidden deals in the backyard shed market I thought were worth sharing. I don’t know if this is how it works everywhere but it’s worth researching. There is a broker down by our lake that sells sheds for a manufacturing company. I stopped by to check the prices which were totally reasonable to begin with. But they informed me that they also had discounted sheds from time to time that are repos when people stop paying on them. $1,500 to $3,000 delivered in awesome condition up here. The $3,000 models were around 10’ x 20’ barns.

When storing extra feed like that, Homie, even the slightest bit of light will get those bottles to start to mildew on the inside. I usually take a blanket and throw it over the excess like that otherwise, I have it completely out of the footprint of any light.Whipped up the next batch of Mega Crop ahead of this winter storm that starts to blow in this afternoon. 5 grams per gallon of Mega Crop and 2 grams CalMag.
Looking at 6-12” of snow around 3,000 feet so I try to minimize the amount of time the door to the shed has to open for heat retention. This stuff keeps really well in sealed containers.

Possibly in the next 2 or 3 years. I’d like to go with a barn-style set up separated into two rooms. I want to use a wind powered turbine to power the main electrical rig and a solar array to charge a battery storage center for the dark times. I would wire it to the main house that already has solar but it would remove the RV plug from the board. So many projects…Oh man! I could really do wrong right in one that big!

Do you think a resin shed like this Rubbermaid would be easier/more efficient to insulate than a metal or wood shed? I really like this one for the height and the floor but the metal ones are so much cheaper. Just thinking maybe this one I can get away with those thin reflective bubble rolls instead of thick styro panels. Fiberglass definitely off the table.

I think that it would work just fine. Not as well as a wood shed but still very well. Wood sheds help absorb a small amount of moisture where plastic can create condensation buildup. Wood is also easier for construction but both are better than aluminum. The shed you’re looking at is fantastic but you’re going to have to go the extra mile when it comes to ventilation. And make sure you get a can of Great Stuff to seal up any air gaps. If you need cooling, I would highly recommend a window AC versus any water cooled device for that one.

I've been wanting to add a backyard shed for a long time. I have an 8'x12' from Lowes in mind that costs about $2,500. Having it sited and assembled will cost as much as the shed, if not more. I won't be using it for growing, though. I need it to make space inside for growing.

There was also a user on here a bit back (I believe JadinsJourney) who mentioned straight piping the exhaust tubing versus using flex duct for higher airflow and performance. They are definitely a convenient thing to have around. They at least save you from the ridiculous fees at storage unit places.I've been wanting to add a backyard shed for a long time. Seeing that I already have all the grow equipment the only cost is going to be the shed and environmental control. I also have bunch of small space heaters and humidifiers already but I was thinking of upgrading to this ac infinity unit. It's definitely not cheap but I'm a big fan of their fans (it's all I use). Do you think it's worth it? I'm also not open to cut a window AC into this shed because it has to be more incognito.

I really like that double barn door! I was thinking about adding that to the big door thats on my shed.
