Yup I could see that playing in to factor... But I have the hi octane which to me is more sativa dom and I only get 3-5 on her maybe an occasionally 7 (but this has only happened a few times and I couldn't say I've ever dialed her in tho), where as like the true og which is more indica dom has put out 7...

As a matter of fact I just seeing this tested in a room...I was having the same discussion with a grower about the leaf pattern of Ogeez, the room has mostly indica dom girls and had always held true to the 3-5 leaf statement, as soon as foliar compost teas were applied the 7 leafers showed up... Might I add the girls looked on point, very dialed in and all are verified legit girls....

It might be sole dependent on what regime their up taking and foliar feed... With that right combo the plant will be happy to produce extra blades..

Most of the cases the leaf pattern is that same as a 5 blade leaf with two smaller leaflets on the bottom...ime

When you add foliars (macro/micro nutes and humidity) and lots of fresh air into a room you'd be amazed at the drastic changes a strain could make. I had some deep chunk sizedfan leaves come from og's. Still only 3 leaves tho.. 3 huge leaves :p

This is right on bro.. I get some of my leaves to grow 7-8" , normally the case they would be either a 3-5 blade tho... Ill snap a pic once I see one in the garden..

I think it has little to do with health or environment, and more to do with the size and age of the plant and how often u top it, the more u top the longer the 3 to 5 fingers leaves stay, I have notice over the years if the OG plant is left to grow without topping very often and after it gets over 2ft tall it will throw the 7 finger leaves and sometimes even 9, the TK is that way, it just started throwing 7 leaves right now, and the plants are about 26+ inches now, both in the flower room and in the mother room, they started throwing 7 fingers at the same time and same size....................GM

until we get in 9s lol but I still swear I've louie and ghost throw 9s in huge pots about a year ago at a friends, but it was at a friends so I cant remember 100%

i did a 3 way og mix with a kush run and it came out with seven(some phenos 5) thats what i was wondering bout true ogs only having 5 - im guessing the sativa doms throw out the 7 leaf maybe idk i want to get some og cuts that supposedly been in the same hands since the 90s to R&D with

Plant size and stress levels is where I'll put my money....

Example....With the tk, I almost lost the cut a few months back. Had to take a flowering branch (actually a few) and clone them and re veg them. She threw out single blades for quite a few nodes after veg started again out of the bud in a 16 oz cup. After I re established veg and transplanted her to a one gallon pot her health got better and I started to see 3 finger leafs pop up on New growth. Now they are in 5 gallon pots and roughly 2 ft tall and throwing 5 finger leafs. The most iv seen is 7 on the tk when I had a solid mother in a 7 gallon pot. I will say the most dialed run I ever had with tk she throw all 3 finger leafs and only like 1 or 2 five finger leafs. It was 3 ft Talla at finish bloom. No I don't have documented proof or lab results, just my word lol ~smf~

Just transplanted some "mystery" ogs and will let them grow out for cuts soon. My room is getting the ac installed soon so hopefully an update soon. Funny story the cuts were taken outside due to some issues and they are so scraggly, started to flower but somehow resilient. The mini nug up top reeks. Kinda has that sharper serration but old on the leafs... I wish I could contribute more fer sure. Killer pics man as usual.

What are you finding is an easier og for yor regimen and also have you tried strait coco with no perlite? I really personally love strait coco slightly more.
