What temps do you press at?
 
i dont know had to google last time but i think it was 97C or 101 the press remembers
 
I think your temps are why you're getting the glass instead of butter. 81-87c and a slow press over 3-5 minutes should get that consistency you were asking about a while back.

It's not really about an amount of time. You want to be gradually increasing pressure over time. Usually lasting 3-5 minutes. If you just smash it then you are also forcing lipids,fats,waxes, and chlorophyll out of the material and into your rosin.

i dont see the logic there.if anything longer time would make hot all of that and give more of that in the final rosin.maybe thats why its butter.both cases plant matter is under 7tonnes. and its not like i am pressing a button and bam, i am still pulling the lever it takes me maybe 30sec to reach the max from the pump

It's not my logic. It's what I was told by others that produce extracts as a profession. I guess keep doing it the same way and hoping the results change.

been watching now some youtubers and reading some articles they are doing it my way or i am doing it their way nobody is doing a 5min press
only thing i still havent tried is those bags.
but since last time when i raised the humidity i got a huge boost. i need to messure next time how much i get soo i know where i stand.

and they all say 600 -1000 psi mine goes to 6000 and i have been doing it to the max every time maybe that is making problems....
there was a formula how much real pressure your doing depending on the plate size but i cant find it now

Why do you keep going back to the extreme? 5 minutes would be for a larger amount of material or a "low and slow" with lower temps.

Ive been told buds at 62ish rh% perform better. I think you're right about the pressure. This is where the time comes from. For example increasing pressure to 500 and letting it work for 30-60 seconds. Then increase to 750 for 30-60 and then finish at 1000 for 30-60 seconds. Isn't the formula for the surface area of the material not the plates?
 
Cman top looks done bottom the light did make a difference but not really maybe better placement and longer hours next time.
The insects are starting to take everything down there is soo much dead leafs i dont think they will survive another week.

Put the top buds in the fridge and lowers in the tent.there is probably over 200g of it in the fridge and hopefully 200 more in the tent.
Not the best yield in my opinion(still didnt weigh it)
We did get mold on cman but only 2 buds that i could find and they where both from the middle part where it was full
Second white was total shit it had one top bud and rest of the plant was just few leaves with the idea of pistils soo she was a fail.

I love this net more and more easy to remove from it easy to use it for drying great support for the plant most branches couldnt hold themselfe

Volume change is crazy bottom 2 are cman top is white with a few branches from cman
We are at 72% soo a few more days and then real drying / curing starts

Small ones are dry and ready I still haven't checked the bigger ones. The fridge is progressing nice as well, currently at 72.2% when door is open drops to 64.
