Curious too, if competition started Aug. 1st...clones to be used would be rooting about now. Do we post pics to show that now? I have a cut just rooted and in beer cup now if pic needs to be posted to show "freshness"... lol.

I think thats why hes looking for a contest advisor - Id volunteer but:

a) I want to compete
b) looks like I just got a job

The Competition starts September 1st.

Hello Farmers! I will be taking responsibility for the competition. I apologize for not showing up sooner.

Its great seeing all the participation!

The purpose for the competition is for bragging rights, to have some fun and will a little free gear! Although its easy to cheat its just not worth it. Lets just focus on having fun and actually trying to keep our plants alive until harvest time! :)

Right now you should be rooting up a clone or popping some seeds and putting together a few plants to select an official entry by, on, or about September 1st. I have 3 or 4 plants going and I will be selecting which plant on September 1st that I will be entering. Pics of the official entry are the only pix needed. We just need to know what plant you are entering and a picture of it. Then the weekly pic updates will be in effect. You must post a pic at least once every two weeks though.

The plants roots must reside inside the 16 oz party cup for the duration of the grow. You may grow with any method (coco, soil, etc..), any strain (Alien Dawg, Bubba Kush, Purple Berry, etc..) from feminized seed, regular seed or clone. If you already have something going (like a few of you do) it is perfectly fine to use it as long as its in a party cup. In fact one of my contenders was in a 1/2 gallon pot, but I topped it and transplanted her into a party cup.

Plants do NOT have to be flowered by September 1st. Flower when YOU are ready. If your plant dies after September 1st, unfortunately, your out. If you can still pull some bud off her then put it on a scale and take a pic anyways.

12 Week Duration: This is just a rough estimate for when most of the grows will be complete. I suspect that a few of us will not complete our grow until after then, but that is fine. Winners will not be declared until ALL contestants have completed their grows and submitted their scaled dried bud pic.

If you complete the grow and submit a pic of your scaled dried bud your name will be entered into a drawing for some free CVS seed vouchers.

FIRST UPDATES: First updates are not due until September 1st. Select which plant out of your contenders that you want to run and post up a pic.

Lemonhoko: You can only participate in one Competition. We can't have you pulling a clean sweep! :)

Indicas4me - You will have to transplant into a party cup. Those cups don't count because they are larger than 16 ounces (or appear to be).

WOW, Glad Greenstone showed up, looks like it was right on time... Really happy to see so many people wanting to compete.. I think this will be very fun for us all...

I can't wait to watch this un-fold... Looks like we got some heavy hitters in this competition... This is going to be good.

Lem, it wasn't in the rules, and it still isn't. I wasnt sure if we (CVS and I) were going to run this at multiple forums, so that rule was never included. Please do feel free to share your entry here as well. I will also post my entry as well.

I am playing just for fun, no prizes for me. My prize is the fun because Im gonna grow right along with you guys!

I am not in this comp either but grew many in cups before!Here is one that i never got around to transplanting and went to flower.Its a 20 oz cup though.
