Always check the genetics from the seed provider, some of the cheap seed companies are running their own genetics and phenos, so their seeds won't be as reliable and have the quality of the og breeders. And yes to get more yield off of them takes lst and love. I grow mine outside because it's hard to beet mother nature. I prefer photos for inside due to the ability to veg longer and train more for a better yield. Barneys I have seen most people have a decent success from, they are a reasonable price, there are still high end strains that are new or just that sought after that are going to put a dent in your pocket to acquire, I have been lucky enough to live around an area with plenty of growers that I know, and can get genetics through. My brother is in Colorado, setting up grows and extraction rooms for multiple 502 crops, and he's told me about how far they have came for their genetics out there. Years ago when we lived in California, the college kids use to drive out to us to trim all the outdoor plants to earn weed to bring back home because of how little options they had out there. Times are changing for the better in my opinion

Ive got zero growers in my circle so my pocket got Tboned at the intersection. I got some advice recently that I can hit my plants with the silver surfer and they will give me free seeds. Thats on the to-do list but will take some time.

All good man. I didnt mean livestream your grow with your address as the title. Its just easier to keep up with someones stuff if its in one place. Share a pic a day or one a month. Only share the finished buds or dont share if you'd rather not. Im the same we have recreational here but federal would be better

I do make some posts, and pics. I kinda joined the farm halfway through a project. Felt kinda pointless to have everyone follow the process this far. Rather share some pictures of where it's at. I will also be sharing my outdoor grow, the whole process of that. To me thats harder for most because everyone does indoor, I also live in a difficult grow section for outdoors in my state, so I will be showing the how I can get a good yield and decent product from outside.

Lol yes colloidal silver works, you want at least a 40-60 ppm mixture for good results. You can't smoke that part of the plant though

And you have growers through the farm buddy. This place is like Facebook for weed growers. I would rather stay up on strains and grow methods rather than what someone had to eat or where their family vacations lol

Unknown. Im watering by hand until day 14. But the plants are alive still. Everything about it is new for me so I have that feeling of uncertainty about it all.

The photo glueberry just got her shell removed. I didn't think about the blue cheese being on 24 hrs light so the glueberry won't get the ideal environment from the 5x5.

Turns out plants dont take holidays. Did some maintenance this morning.

Sour diesel got her biggest trim so far. Also made some adjustments trying to optimize the canopy. Moved some pins for spacing and height. Did some selective pruning to slow down some of the branches. Here are the before and after of that.

I thought I would try to get some examples of what and why I take certain leaves. The first thing is that every leaf takes resources to maintain and every leaf provides energy for the plant. The important thing about that is the leaf needs to be receiving light to do its job. So with that in mind I get a birds eye view looking down on the plant. Im scanning for older bigger leaves that are around 50% or more covered and/or multiple leaves in the same spot fighting for the light.

I left this leaf because its only 35% covered.

In this shot its the cluster of leaves at the bottom of the pic. Too many fighting for the same light.

And these are some of the selective pruning I mentioned above. The idea is to remove the top fan leaves to slow down the development of a branch. Since these are in the middle of the plant and the pot its hard to tie down. With them being in the most light intensity and top spot they will quickly out grow the rest. I want some of the lower growth to catch up so the canopy is level and all sites are getting even light.

Strawberry cheesecake needed some spacing. A few weeks ago I removed all the pins on the GMO and cheesecake. The GMO isnt as bad but the cheesecake kinda closed up. The branches closed back towards the center and things were crowded. She has a bunch of sugar leaves and I even took a handful of those in some tight spots. All I really did here is move branches left or right by a 1/2"-1" and maybe a little bit of pulling down on a couple. The goal was spacing not training. Ive read that when buds sense its tight they tend to grow up instead of swell out.

Finally the seedlings. Theyve had it a bit rough the last 12 hrs. I got some pieces in for the tents and spent a few hours hooking those up and getting the app working. During this the seedling took a couple hits.

I had the blue cheese elevated above the glueberry because the autos can take more light than the photo. Well as I was running a cable I bumped the drain tray and they both fell over doing a couple rolls across the tray. The smaller of the two landed face down rockwool on top of the seedling. Maybe 15-30 minutes later re running the same cable I let it loop down on top of the taller cheese folding it all the way over. If that isnt bad enough I managed to do it again but in the opposite direction. FML! It doesnt end there. I was changing my nutrient mix being close to the 2nd week and them get another set of leaves. Everything was going good. Mixed things in order letting the silica get mixed in and settled. Hit the right ppm everything was right. Then I fucking forgot to ph the shit and gave them nutes at 7+ ph. No worries tho I gave the cubes a flush with 2 cups of 5.5 ph water. Letting them dry out now and I'll feed again in a bit.

Im using your advice with the panels hotspot. Where I highlighted was a bald spot a few days ago. Ive been keeping it open from leaves and positioning the pot so the bald spot is in the highest intensity from the light.

Quick update on the seedlings. These pics are about 12 hrs from feeding them 7+ pH nutes by mistake. And about 8 hrs from a flush to get things in balance. I ran half a gallon of the new nutes at 5.7 pH through each cube. Taking runoff samples every 2 cups until ppm and pH of runoff was close to the same as the nutes going in. I could notice a color change within 3-4 hrs. Now they are looking even better. Ive been nervous about this hydro grow but feeling better about it now.

The glueberry photo has been pushed pretty hard I think. She looks to be fighting back against too much light. I've left her in there with the autos on 24 hrs light. And because I didn't want to take away from the autos too much she has also been getting 28 DLI. Today she got 34 DLI but those trues are cupped. After I took the pic I put her on the floor of the tent. I turned up the lights for the autos they're at 43 and the photo is at 20 DLI but still 24 hrs light.

Actually I lied. The new dli is only 39 on the autos.

I was in the room doing some basic maintenance stuff. Like watering and staring when I decided the cheesecake needed just a little more attention. Took a few leaves some of them sugar leaves that were jammed in between buds and others that were somewhere between fan and sugar leaf. Bigger sugar leaves? They needed to go. Also moved one branch that made all the difference. I used a piece of wire and another branch to move that skinny branch to an empty spot and giving the cluster around the main cola some air, light, and space.

More changes to the room. Not optimal for every plant but trying to make the best with all the differences.

If you grow in soil using fabric or air pots and want to accelerate the dry back aim a fan at their base. Accelerating the dry back also accelerates oxygen delivery and makes nutrient/water uptake more efficient

Made a run to the grow store. Grabbed some random needed things. But the exciting stuff is the additions for the organic soil. I'm going to get some liquid kelp too for emergency. I just wasn't sure what brand to get. I also wanted some organic gem but my store doesn't carry it. They have some alternatives but again without doing some homework I didn't want to buy anything.

Also this little closet setup is one of the quality of life upgrades I had mentioned the other day. Nothing crazy and not finished but a big improvement over everything being on the floor of a empty bedroom.
