I haven't been giving updates on the photo glueberry. It's because I'm counting her as a failure with the scrog. She didn't get the explosion of growth in the organic soil. I learned that soil grows need more time under the net and I'll adjust the timing on the next run.

She's not really a failure and my first photo grow is still a success so far. She's just not a monster like the autos in rockwool.

You could have done 2 weeks more veg but she looks good.
One question do you let old leafs mold on the floor until the end of grow? Noticed from last set of photos

She got a little over 5 weeks of veg and more veg time wouldn't have affected the response to the super crop and net. She needed the explosion after the net.

No mold. Just dry leaves. The 2x4 didn't have that many leaves so I've been lazy and left them in there. The 2 blue cheese are normally multiple sessions and I might leave the leaves in there for a week before I clean them up. I'm not super picky about it tho. As long as there aren't piles stacked up they will dry out and be fine imo.

Cookies might out grow her tent. She went crazy last 2 days and I had to remove 15-20 leaves today. Tucking wasn't an option. Got most of the new growth exposed to the light. Hoping not to remove anymore until the schwazz this weekend. Didn't think to grab before shots this time. I opened the tent and shit was a mess so I got to work.

Big momma update. Day 74. I've mixed 15 gals of nutes since Sunday afternoon. I estimate she's drinking about 1.75 gal a day. Ignore all the orange pistils. Those are from me having to touch everything due to the poor setup.

Under canopy panels are helping from my observation but also causing the leaves to do some weird stuff. Those panels only have 4 settings so they're on the lowest 25%. Lots of time left we'll see how it goes.

It's simple - 2:1 99% iso and table salt. Put it in there, shake it around, dump it out, let the iso flash off (this is why it's important to use 99%; it flashes off completely without leaving any residue), then rinse with scalding tap water (any leftover salt will be dissolved into solution and rinsed out). May need to repeat a couple of times if rig is really stained.

Yep. That's why I'm not too worried about it. The rig also has a trap designed into it for anything that makes its it out.

I install automotive tint, ppf, and vinyl for a living. I have access to gallons of 99%.

I decided to get the cookies under the net a day early. Im worried about her out growing the tent so I didn't want to give her another day. Maybe even should've done it yesterday.

@TerpBeans here is a good visual on schwazzing. Pretty much every leaf with a stem gets removed.

And here she is under the net. I'll go back in tomorrow and do some rearranging of the branches. Overall it went pretty good I feel. Some of the super cropping had me nervous but after a few hours she is looking ok.

This is her a few hours after the super crop. Leaves turning up and no wilt. I think she is going to be okay.

Nice job on the manifold. Way too labor intensive for me with my disabilities though; I let them grow mostly natural, with some bending and tucking and still produce lbs of quality meds (I'm obviously in the "plants need their leaves" camp lol ). Last cycle was my 1st time using scrog nets.

It is a lot more time and attention needed per plant. Too much work for me too at certain points but worth the outcome. I wont be using this method for every grow but its helping me get a good size "starter" stash of smoke and will probably use it to grow large amounts of my preferred strains and phenos in the future.

The question tho. Are you getting lbs of top colas from one plant in 90-100 days? It might surprise you but i agree that they need their leaves. Just not all of them lol. My very first plant got lst and defol. Ive never grown one naturally. Its on the to-do list tho. I have lots of tests/experiments I want to try so I can see things with my own eyes type of thing.

I havent made it over there yet but I plan on reading through your thread. How did the scrog go for you?

Heres a fun little update! I have a 30gal trash can as a RO water tank and it fucking busted at a seam. I was picking up laundry in the bathroom(next to tank closet) and my work pants were wet on the legs. This caused the investigation. I found the leak and that theres water under the fake wood laminate. Its squishing through some of the seams of the flooring when stepped on.

Ive been meaning to change the RO tubing for awhile now but this isnt how I wanted to go about it. I also put off the spill tray in the closet which I will be buying and installing tomorrow.

I haven't made it back to my old method of growing yet, which packed 33 plants into a 3x9' footprint, growing in 6x36 rockwool slabs underneath 4-1000w hps. I ran 3 of those 'pods', which averaged 10 lbs ea every 80 days. The plants were loosely bundled, so they had a two foot diameter 'tube' they grew in, right to the lights, which were mounted tight to the ceiling. The general goal was 1/3 lb per plant. That was like 23yrs ago

The downside was that it was a cash crop; growing only one (high yield & high potency) strain for a guaranteed payday. It was highly illegal then and every consideration went towards maximizing output vs. experimenting with different strains, grow methods etc. Back then it sold for 4k/lb wholesale and you couldn't grow it fast enough. Was no problem buying other peoples top shelf weed for smoking variety.

Fast forward to a year ago when I started back up (spent a year prior to that buying a little bit of gear at a time). 1st batch was in uni-slabs in an ebb & flow tub like yours, with recirculating drip. At the same time, I flowered a big mother plant in my 4x4 tent, for about 2lbs. The 4x8 tent grew up past the lights, with buds as big as my arm (hash plant and nl. Unfortunately I couldn't get nighttime rh under control and started getting bud rot, so I chopped a cpl weeks early.

I can only grow in winter months. 1st grow this season was seeds started in red solos in coco, for a contest...... bla bla bla, it was a failed experiment, I gave up on the contest bc they way outgrew the solos, so I up-potted to 1 gal pots, still with coco (I was trying to use my same rockwool method)..... ended up with rootrot and had to chop 2 weeks early. Now I'm growing clones from the best two of those plants. So in answer to you question - I dunno know what my yields will be; if I can manage to get crop all the way to the end lol. I doubt I will be able produce as much as your manifold method. I'm hoping for 1/2 lb per plant every 80 days for starters (clones)

This is all in trying to get geared for growing from seed. I'm experimenting this round with the rockwool bits in 2.5 gal square pots in my 6x40" slab trays. I'm trying to get away from the 6x36 slabs. The square pots work out to comparable cu inches, with the added benefit of single plant mobility (prior to net placement).

This is why I use the grey Brute cans. They are expensive, but well worth the piece of mind. I just recently bought water sensor alarms for my tents and bathroom where my storage can is. I just bought cheepo's, but next time I'll get the wifi ones you can link to your phone.

Sending all the good vibes your way that you'll get to the finish line. I wasnt trying to make it any kind of competition. Pros and cons to everything. Smaller yields and having some variety are also great ways to grow.

I havent done it but you can use the rockwool bits in a 2gal bag or pot for this method. You just put the 4" on top of that instead of the 6x9 cube.

25 yrs ago I was a teenager in a small country town. I would drive a couple hours to the city and get lbs of mids for 2k then take them home and sell them for 4k.

Now that I know I can produce enough flower to get away with it Im thinking about moving to oils and concentrates. Stop smoking flower all together. Vaping has got to be better for me than smoking. I grabbed a few all ceramic carts and a battery that goes down to 1.8v to start playing with.

Opened the tent for daily check ups and droopy leaves right in the face. Not sure how many feeds she missed but the valve was stuck. Pump was turning on but nothing coming out of the 1/4" tube. Opened the drain valve on the 3/4" tubing and pump was working. I closed and reopened the feed valve and there's feed coming out the 1/4" tubes again. I'll have to look into those valves. Can't have that happen again.
