Small update on the hydro grow. It's been a little over 24 hrs since reservoir change. The plants have been feed 5 times with the new mix. I didn't mention it yesterday because I wanted to see how they reacted first but I increased the strength to 2.2 ec. They seem to be handling it fine. They even ate more than they drank.

I don't like how you can get different types of growth between plants with the exact same conditions. It's early but Im not a fan of how the short one is growing.

Sour diesel after a few more days in the better environment. These pics are 48 hrs apart. Not drastic changes but she is going to be stacked like the others.

Day 17 for the blue cheese and 3 days since bending the top. I've done some defoliation but trying to just tuck the best possible. They both got good stems and branches. Most importantly no pistils.

GMO update. Nothing too crazy. Just ignore the light damage. I'm turning them down a few % at a time. I've got the 2x4 tent dropping to 67-68° during lights out. I think the cold is helping bring that purple out on the edges.

Strawberry cheesecake has kinda stalled. Buds are still swelling a little and dense but pistil color hasn't changed in a minute. Lots of white in there. Frost is there but not real thick.

How do you compare the growth between hydro and soil?

Hydro is way faster and the development is more robust. At least compared to my hand watering and dry amendment approach.

Edit: I will add that I dont think I have the organic living soil method completely figured out and dialed in. There is lots of room for improvement for me still.

I have only tried a couple times....had good success with a bubble cloner....but thats about it
Always wanted to try a 4X4 table SOG in rockwool cubes and 1000 watt hps

Im the type that doesnt like to box myself in by saying one way is better than the other. I'll end up growing every style eventually. Ive seen really nice grows in dwc and cant really compare but this drip with rockwool is impressing me. Its cheap and simple to setup. You can use just about any container for the reservoir and drain tray. The reservoir has to big enough for your pump to fit and the drain tray big enough for the cubes thats it. I havent even touched old school lights but I believe leds are going to easily out perform those sodium bulbs?

I am reading up on it. No space right now.....but maybe by spring set something up
I like that drip style! 👍🏼

From what i can tell you like your SOG. If you wanted to try something different that unique scrog method I keep talking about is proven better yields and quality is still top shelf. Once perfected you can pull 7g/watt type shit. Lets not forget a harvest every 90 days if you go with autos. This scrog method is confirmed to work even better with photos though.

Look at the cheap plastic tubs he's using and that plant is a 425g dry harvest in a 2x2 or he uses a lot of 32"x32" also.

SOG works best with clones, can even run a few different strains, but all have to be from clones for max yield. Lately I have been running a lot of regular seeds from different people and testing strains. Its all good. Nice to have different strains around. May even find that jewel in the rough 😉

This plant is stressing me out. It's growing so compact I don't know how it will scrog. I need the branches to span the gap of the squares so the tips can be held down.

The glueberry took off a little bit over the last couple days. I've been fighting the urge to remove those big fan leaves. The 7s the 3s aren't in the way of anything. Those 7s are making it a bit awkward for some of the lower growth. I'm leaving them for now.

Some pics of the girls. The blue cheese will be getting the net tomorrow or Thurs. The sour and glueberry are just renting that space for a couple days. Those 2 will be getting moved around for a little bit. Waiting to harvest the 2x4 tent.
