I used excessive side lighting an an auto the last 3 weeks.
It was the largest producer I had at 90 grams.
But it was also the only untopped auto in the run.

Just some guardians of the green.

Lil stubby got a heavy defol. I wish the super crop went better with her. She would be in amazing shape if she didn't lose half or more of her branches and if I would've gotten more time to work her under the net. She's crazy greasy and sticky. Even more skunk coming from her than big momma.

Absolute ripper..Crazy veg times for an auto. Don't think I've ever had over 3-4 weeks veg with em bar one amnesia auto that filled a 3x3, and Ive grown a few hundred over the years.

Thanks. Im proud of her. Just about everything in this grow is a first time for me so its been a fun journey. She actually had pistils day 21 but she stretched for over 4 weeks. Its the super crop and using the net for training instead of support that gave her the mass. Day 28 before and after schwazz and net.

That's insane. I get zero stretch for me autos. These went around 25-28 days before sex, but immediately started stacking flowers soon after.

The big amnesia did the same thing as yours. Sexed around week three, stretched for weeks, but lately they've been a bit lacklustre.

Keen to see how this all pans out.

My experience with autos is they can lack consistency. They just do what they want and you have to make the best of what she gives you. My most recent seed purchases I made sure to get higher filial generations for stability and consistency.

Leaves are "solar panels" everyone has heard that but leaves are also energy sinks. Meaning they take resources to grow and to keep alive. Also they are only solar panels when they have access to light. Removing leaves changes the hormones in a plant as well.

Schwazzing can be very beneficial even without the super crop and scrog. Timing is important tho. A good general time frame is day 1 of flower and day 21 of flower. Basically the beginning of stretch and the end. A simple explanation is removing the leaves causes the plant to produce growth hormones and timing it at the beginning and end of stretch focuses all that energy into the most important stages of growth.

The super cropping is there to get even light distribution and canopy spread. Throw a net over it for training by tucking and weaving branches. Making sure to remove apical dominance on the main branches by keeping the tops horizontal under the net. Thats how you get an autoflower like big momma.

Hope that makes sense. I dont enjoy typing so I try to make things as short as possible.

First 7 days I hand feed a full solo cup at around 1.0 ec 3 times a day. Once she gets settled in I hook her up to automated feeds. My first res mix is 2.0 ec and the pump runs for 12 minutes every 4hrs 48min. No drippers just 1/4" hose straight to the top of the rockwool. 12 mins is overkill early but nutes are getting recirculated and it saves me from reprogramming timers. Im currently at 2.4-2.6 ec and will float around there until late flower dropping back to 1.8-2.0.

Yeah she loves it. Ive been matching the aggressive push with the dli and vpd too. 24hrs on for the lights and environment dialed at every stage. She probably wouldnt handle the higher ec without the other variables in the grow at a high level too.

I haven't been giving updates on the photo glueberry. It's because I'm counting her as a failure with the scrog. She didn't get the explosion of growth in the organic soil. I learned that soil grows need more time under the net and I'll adjust the timing on the next run.

She's not really a failure and my first photo grow is still a success so far. She's just not a monster like the autos in rockwool.
