Full canopy again and the roots are in the res making me a liar. I'm mainly worried about them interfering with the pump. What do I do just cut them where they're hanging over? Do we think leaving them isn't a problem?

It's up to you whether you trim the roots or not. Benefit of them being in the water; is the plants will never run out of water and wilt, plus they can drink as much as they want. Use pumps with the foam filters and the roots won't bother them. I had no problems with the giant I grew like that.

Best thing you can do with @superchola is click on his picture, then hit the ignore button. He's a straight up troll and will get you in trouble by interacting with him. By spamming all those replies to him, all you're doing is playing into his hand and plugging up other people's news feeds. I had over 40 notifications, just from your attempted replies to his nonsense.

Sorry, I didn't articulate that very well. You won't get in trouble for simply interacting with him. What I meant is more along the lines of: He'll goad you to try and get reactions. Spamming is frowned upon regardless of where it comes from; even if in retaliation. I incurred an admonishment from admin for spamming him back in a similar manner one 3am sesh, like a year ago. You'll bring trouble upon yourself in the form of people ignoring you, reporting you etc. You already have street cred here at the farm, don't lose it to a troll, is what I'm trying to say. You make a good addition to the farm. Myself and others are enjoying your grow and learning from it. I don't want to ignore you or see you get banned is all.

Thank you for clarifying and the compliments. I understood what you meant about getting in trouble. And what you explained is the faulty system. Losing an audience or getting banned is crazy. Makes me wonder if this is the right place to invest my time.

Just in time for phase 2. Im secretly here to start a gang.

Tonight's maintenance. The canopy is just about where I want it. Weaved some branches into bare spots. By the time they get turned up and settled the rest of the canopy should be balanced and ready to let things grow vertical.

One of the things I'm doing with the defol is keeping the tallest shoots fairly bare. This has 2 benefits it allows light penetration and slows the development of that branch so the lowers can catch up. We want an even canopy for even light distribution.

The second pass is mid tier leaves shading new growth and leaves that are growing twisted and deformed from over crowding.
