I'm chiming in on your dispute. By incident i watched some of it and looking from the outside it was easy to see what happened.
We got a guy representing tough streetsmart guy. We know nothing about his life but i assume he has seen his part of shit.
Now I know a lot of guys that are feed of with disrespect and they have kinda become allergic to disrespect. And they react violently. Actively searching for and baiting disrespect.
I don't like violence but i also don't like disrespect so i see it as their own problem.
Now this guy looks a little like he likes dispute and every little bit of disrespect makes him go off.
imo he go overboard with something that looks a lot like threat.
He use street language that sounds offending in many peoples ears but if you listen most is not. Only when someone take the bait.
And i think you took the bait.
What happened then is that conversation went from reacting with sense to reacting with feelings, and that is like wasting time imo
I could be wrong about the dispute cos i didn't read all cos of the wasting time part

Appreciate you taking the time and trying to help. But you are way off target. I choose to play with him and my feelings were never involved. Weve had a previous discussion on one of his threads where I linked this thread and invited him over here. For me it was purely for my entertainment. The only negative part is that I cant entertain myself without bothering innocent bystanders.

Ok i totally missed that it could be for your own entertainment but i'm happy we agree on the wasting time part.
I wasn't really trying to help, more sharing my viewpoint and experience to people cos i found the subject serious.
Now that i understand your way i see i was a bit off track but still hope people can reflect on what i said, ignoring that it was only for the entertainment

Its all good. Youre just missing some of the story. This person has a reputation around here. If I was entertaining myself thats not wasting time.

Something that never crossed my mind is the extra weight of the roots. The lid is sagging and pulling the middle canopy down.

She has taken that 6gal 2.3ec mix from the other day down to 2.0 and about 2gal. I'm mixing nutes strong hoping for 2.5-2.6ec.

No canopy maintenance tonight.

Yeah i was thinking about that when you cut the lid. They can get a bit heavy and it's not ready yet, I guess you have to sacrifice your broomshaft to support LoL

The design is supposed to have a raised shelf piece resting on the edge of the lid but I didnt find a good material for it at the time.

Tonight's cookie monster(idk y I name them) update. Lots of defol and branch weaving. I skipped canopy maintenance yesterday knowing I had a lot of work to do in that back right corner.

I hadn't fully unzipped the tent and got back there since dropping the net. I got a decent shot of all the weaving. It looks rough but she will bounce back in no time.

Another strat I use when choosing which leaves to remove is to try and leave one side of the nodes leaves. You can see it in the before pic. There are a bunch of branches with one big fan per side. Leaves benefit the plant local and global. Meaning they give their energy to the closest connection then distributed it to the rest of the plant. Bud sites first then the branch followed by adding to the plants overall energy pool. You don't want to just go in there hacking the plant up. Access to light is always first priority. Second is keeping enough leaves on the growth that you need to develop. So smaller stuff needs their leaves while the taller more developed branches can afford to lose more leaves. It's a constant effort to keep things balanced.

The reasoning for going so heavy on defol and finally getting that corner done is that I'm running out of stretch. I need everything in place filling in the canopy and getting light. I'm worried about the center and honestly I waited days too long to do the weaving I did tonight. Next 3-4 days will be huge. The plan is to go easy on the defol for a couple days.

I couldn't get the 2.6ec but I'll take 2.5

@GasPlease I read about how you distribute energi round the plant.
Not saying that it's not correct, just gonna ad what they teach us and bare in mind that a lot af the things they teach us in biology is on the guessing level.
First thing come to mind is how the mainstream teaching categorize plants🤣 but that is another story .
So this is what they teach us.

Growth is controlled by hormones.
What can make hormones change the grow.
Light vs dark and also the earths attraction force affect where the hormones go and also the flowers.
Some hormones "fear" the light and goes to the dark side of the branch or stem making the plant grow more on the dark side of the stem. This is what makes them grow to the light.
Earth attraction force makes some hormones go down making underside of stem or branch grow more making the plant grow upwards.
Flowers send hormones down and restrict growth under them.

Found this on net to visualize some of it
I just wrote that on top of my head and i might be missing something but you get the idea.

That is what they teach us in school and that translate well in to real life in my experience.

For example the preflowers could very well be responsible for the stretch but not only that, as it is rare in nature that thing only have one function.
Also the change in growth when flowering is easy to see.

Last i enjoy watching your progress and learn a lot from it. You also make remember how much energy i had when i was younger.
Keep up the good work👍

Thank you for the breakdown. Always looking for new info and trying to learn. Manipulating hormones is something I'm kinda familiar with and how I got cookie monster to this point. To get the smallest growth to explode into branches big enough to support colas you need to combine tricking hormones and the growth spurt you get from the flower stretch. And for any of it to matter the plant needs energy which is why I'm trying to give a simple explanation of my thought process when removing leaves.

Day 14 she got a stake holding the main top horizontal. This stayed in place until the super crop and net. These pics are of different plants but the best I've got of the stake.

After the net she gets the same treatment to all the main branch tops around the perimeter except the net is holding them in place instead of a stake.

Heavy removal of top fan leaves also tricks the plant and removes apical dominance reducing auxins allowing cytokinins to increase.

Removing leaves also increase certain stress hormones that are beneficial. Ethylene is increased causing her to be more hardy. Jasmonic acid is produced triggering a defense mechanism and increasing trichome production.

Both the blue cheese are close to harvest. Stubby could come down today. She is milky but not much amber. Big momma is at least a week maybe 2 behind stubby. But since they are close Ive been thinking about the next run. Now that Im free from the dispensary and have plenty of flower to smoke I want to switch my focus from yield to quality. Ive been doing some homework for my organic soil grows and Im going to be making a solid amount of changes. Thinking about it as I type just about everything will be different. Everything except the environment.

The plan is 6 autos in 5gal pots in the 5x5. 6 different cultivars that Ive never grown and dont want to do the research on. Not knowing whats going to happen is part of the fun.

I'll have the 32"x32" that will be one plant grown more naturally with minimal stress. Probably a traditional scrog that is more for support and spacing.

The glueberry is on week 7 of flower so the 2x4 will open up in time for one last run before august.

Thats potentially 9 cultivars for some variety before I might need to stop growing long enough to move out of this apartment. Once Ive figured out the living situation my first grow will be some of my regular seeds in hopes of producing more seeds. Im ready to get into these skunk and northern lights genetics to see what theyre about.

Nothing much has changed since last pics except a little more frost. Here are the blue cheese.

Today is 7 weeks exactly since flip for the glueberry og. I want to see her without me torturing her. Might grow the auto version in 32x32.
