The monitoring of midvalley’s cannabis odor in county’s hands
The Pitkin County Environmental Health Department will oversee a third-party, odor-mitigation program in the midvalley designed to ensure that Holland Hills neighbors aren’t affected by the aroma of mature cannabis plants.
Aspen’s Silverpeak Apothecary dispensary, which owns and operates High Valley Farms, has for months been working with an outside monitor, but those services will now be handled through the county. Under an agreement reached in September, High Valley Farms will pay the county directly to cover the costs of the services.
