Rip Skunkman!
I wish there were some skunk smelling beans left on the world. He even lost it.. Hope somehow STANKY skunk gets found again.
Not sure what you mean by this there are multiple people in this thread with skunk #1 seeds in their possession currently, or are you referring to specific strains other than that?

There may be a point to the complaint as to change in genetics.
Back in 1997 in California, from a small ad in Hightimes ( I think), I ordered some "F2s" and they where my first medical grow and turned out to cause a momentary auditory hallucination on the first toke. I have not heard of such effects anyplace for any strain so perhaps that "Skunk" I got was one of those genetics that has been effected over time.
Now With that weed it was two hours before I came down enough to know I was really stoned and I do wish I could go back in time for that one.
However I am so thankful for people like Nevil and his Haze. He demonstrated the levels of effect his Haze had to our table one bowl at a time. For me I was gifted one strain he said he did not like, in Amsterdam 2009 at the International Cannagraphic Cup, and it was exactly what I needed as part of my Medical strain. I am so thankful for that experience. I need the very up creative stimulation since I work with discrete dynamical systems when I smoke it. Imagination is a must.
Anyway, my point is good folks have done good work for us all and we all know that commercialization is both a asset and a detriment for cannabis.

Still if I could go back in time I would bring some seeds back.

So Here is to all of us saving Genetics for the future.
I will agree the weed-of-the-month thrill sees a lot of crosses fade into nothing.
But is it one man's fault? That's a hard one to justify in my opinion.

pS I am growing a cross of my medical strain circa 2010 with a Blue Dream. From an experiment I did in 2012 I expect this strain to influence the empathy aspect. Where my Medial strain is great for Logic and Music ( stimulates specific parts of my brain) the Blue-Dream added a layer of empathy for me which I realized by having a better emotional connection to characters in movies where before I wouldn't have made that emotional connection. So! Two little seedlings are looking very Sativa so far. Maybe this cross will help people who need such help; like me.
I am one who doesn't bond with people so any help in having deeper feelings for others is a good thing.
I'm hopeful and if it turns out good perhaps some Feminized seeds should be shared.

What exactly? You don't know. You indica smoking potheads just repeat each other forever and ever. That's a proven scientific fact.

Before Skunkman, weed was known as a diverse medicinal herb that smelled like a skunks armpit and invalidated 95% of what big pharma does.

After Skunkman: Weed is nothing but a commercial crop and recreational drug that smells like gross toxic perfume terpenes.

Skunkman: Hemp was threatening the paper industry.

Paper industry: Then we'd just grow hemp..

1920 Pharmacies: Americans are using cannabis as a medicine

Skunkman: No it's a drug and the paper industry shut it down not the pharmaceutical industry.

Skunkman: We did extensive scientifical researchification on Marijuana for a pharmaceutical company.

End result of Skunkman's extensive researchonomics: Thc isolate and lemon peel = medicine.

Skunkman: We accidentally invented fems attempting to create sterile cannabis.

Skunkman fanboys: It's the pinhole in your tent causing herms!

Do we need to continue.

Spend one day with someone and you know they are a fraud. It works, as long as you aren't also a fraud.
of life. The
same is true for cultural and religious practices all around the world, whether
youโ€™re a Christian, Buddhists, Hindu, Muslim, Jew, or just a plain old Human Being,
the concept of saving seed is as old as human society itself. If corporations like
Monsanto, GW Pharma, Bayer and HortaPharm are allowed to carry out there interests,
they will hold the genetic copyrights to all Cannabis strains on the planet. GW
Pharma and HortaPharm have stated their intent to engineer Cannabis strains similar
to Monsantoโ€™s terminator seed technology. Their strains seem to be artificially
manipulated to produce "one-off sterile females" which prevents reproduction of
harvest-able seeds. These are the kinds of strains that are waiting to be controlled,
regulated, licensed and taxed after the potential passage of proposition 19 in
California and many similar initiatives across the United States being funded
directly by Monsanto sha
reholders.

I fear that the sad truth is people will be investing in Oxygen manufacturing companies in the not so far flung future since our "Free Air" will become a commodity if one wants to breath clean and fresh.
It is obvious we are idiots about Cannabis. Just look at the Farm Bill and we all know the next one will authorize the Chemical Products and cut food aid (SNAP) for starving children in the USA. But we get those Tax Cuts...
Now on the issue of the USA vs the World with ideas on Weed well, what any of us who have been outside the USA long enough to experience other cultures knows is that the USA is an Island. Perhaps one where boaters sail by and wave hoping no one with a Confederate Flag tries to reproach those visitor's "3-hour tour" but I digress..

The Human Race is not defined by it's intelligence but by it's stupidity.

We, Americans, owe Europe and other places a debt of gratitude for working with Cannabis. There was no way any "Science" was going to happen here. It's only that the States are raking in the Taxes that any science is getting done and by the lapse of clarity about what Cannabis actually is we have a Federal Legalization and a Federal Criminalization going on at the same time.

No, we don't. The tax cuts are for the ultra-wealthy. The Republicans plan to raise taxes for the lower income brackets.
Besides that there is no more middle class in this country anymore just "PO" so poor we can't afford the "OR" and the ultra wealthy ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป
