Total? I left on the east coast tour in 90, picked up in Hartford, was on almost every stretch stateside until the music stopped with the exception of most of 92’ Had to get home and recharge, crazy shit on the road. But all the different bands…..the dead, Garcia and grisman, jgb and ratdog. Then I’ve seen a lot of one off shows after jerry passed, new years 03-04, willies family picnic, so conservatively, at least 100 times in all the different variations. And groups. I wanted to go to Europe baaaaad man, but couldn’t make it happen. That’s why I jumped on asap in Hartford….it’s a fucking blur of amazing wonderful times….

truely was the best times of my life, and it’s impossible to explain it to someone who doesn’t know.. man pittsburg fucking higher than a kite on mmda (ecstasy) acid etc never seen the band that night we were all dancing etc in the hallways, the dead put speakers out there..
man the dylan, petty, dead at rich stadium was a trip.. we used to make our own lsd so we kept it in liquid form, geezus🤦‍♂️hahaha..
europe 90, buddies of mine were supplying the dead with bud the whole tour..
geezus the memories are coming back, christ i even smuggled a deadhead stranger from france to england for the halloween shows plus all my hash🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️.. man what was i thinking and there’s lot more similar..

you know any canadians from toronto/london/sarnia?
a few buddies would go do complete summer fall or spring tours..
man you got to see John kahn with jerry solo shows, those shows are soo damn good, love johns bass playing (rip)

Buddy, preach. Some of the legit miracles I’ve seen, not just free tickets. Homies pulling okie dokes on gate security and getting in for free, the dancing in the halls, outside always one of the best things about them. They kept us heads crazy happy even when we couldn’t get in, they always made sure they were loud, so the lot heads could feel the love too. The copious amounts of liquid…..legit jacobs ladder, woooo boy. Never smuggled humans, but basically everything else under the sun hahaha. I was a tye dye artist back then, it funded alot of stuff on the road. Great for bartering. I hands down, haven’t seen or been to anything quite like dead shows/tours since, with the exception of maybe, MAYBE string cheese. Same eco system, just not quite the same breed……

damon we made tye dyes t shirts and sheets to sell, even cooked food and sold beer, beer was a money maker plus the acid.. we had to run into each other somewhere!.
ya string cheese great band, moe, widespread panic with jimmy herring!.. etc
not a phish fan though..

I do know some heads from up north, a couple of bc heads, Christ though, I haven’t talked to them in years. A couple from Newfoundland, Alberta I think. I got lucky when I got to see jgb, that was a legit out of nowhere, ticket upside my head. I wasn’t even supposed to go, I got crazy lucky there…..

Man, I saw jimmy herring trainwreck with the dead once…….holy shit I was terrible. They crashed terrapin station in space. They had to count back in…..sorry it’s random. I’m a widespread fan too. I liked phish a lot more when I was younger. But nowadays, it’s aimless noodle sessions hahaha
