Oh it has to be managed. September and October can be too hot for a good run. In the colder months, the cold roots mean snails pace growth and buds don't fatten up as good but they still grow.
Have you ever tried to heat up the root zone? You could use a section of heat tape for pipes.

What would cause these wrinkles? The nl5 is doing it. The biker lemon has pretty much had it since birth. Two had it when I discovered the the fungus gnats. One new set of leaves came in without the wrinkles. Now today they are doing it again. Rh was 20% or 30 depending on the device. I also had the intake blowing on them. I just turned on the humidifier. I figured out how to set the mist and monitor it. I can’t seem to figure out how to set it for a specific humidity. So right now it’s just running. I am going to spray some neem in in case it’s something I can’t see. I did change from ro water to pure tap and added the mosquito bits to the five gallon and followed Mikedin instructions. They seemed to like it last water. View attachment 2644955View attachment 2644956View attachment 2644957I also raised the light because the nl5 has a downward curl on the three finger leaves that just grew in. View attachment 2644958I know I encountered this before and I don’t recall the solution. The seedsman blueberry which are a little shorter don’t have any of the wrinkles and the sudden changes to the green hue.
You answered your own question, your humidity is too low.

Damn, you wouldn't believe the shit you gotta think about if you want to take a product to market. California is going to require a CDFA registration as a "soil amendment." I can sell direct no issue and I can sell through nurseries and hydro stores, but if I want to sell to California customers on Amazon I'm going to need that CDFA registration or else Amazon will say "cannot be shipped to your location."

And then there's California's Proposition 65. So fuck em, I'm thinking I'm going to include this mock prop 65 label:

WARNING (not really): This product does not contain any chemicals on California’s Prop 65 list. But we were told we should warn you about something anyway, so… consider yourself warned.
Sell it out of Massachusetts instead of California 🤣

Tell ya what folks. I got 6 hours into my garden area including amendments and nutrition. Was very excited but then this weather moved in.
Looking at 6-10 days of overcast and light rain, just like last year. All my prep and $90 in plants yanked on June 21st or so. Local farmers had it worse.
So think I am going to throw a bunch of red wrigglers in the area and concentrate on spreading the second year strawberries.
Everybody within 20 miles has fields at 3-5 inch starts. Going to be bad for them again this year. First 2 days we got 2.4 inches.

How large a garden is it? Can you throw a pop up tent over it to keep the rain off of it?

I got the humidifier on now. I haven’t seen it turn off yet but it’s better and I don’t have a puddle every where. It’s around 55-60 according to humidifier and the tent next to it with the ac affinity controller is now showing 49. They seem to be liking it so far. Approaching 24 hours now. Oh and Thanks Marty!

Yeah I talked to him the other day his wife’s doing better and will be returning to work, he’s gotta be one happy clown right now. I knew you’d be back, I remember you saying that you didn’t grow during the warmer months because of heat issues. Hope all is well Mike.
