Because it was utter genius Fox cancelled it after 10 episodes bastards! Often quoted as the best tv show cancelled in it's first season. It was cancelled because it was ahead of it's times, without profit they would never have been a Dexter lol.

You can find rips of the first season on piratebay I bought the DVD's from amazon the day they were released lol.
