@ Manc. Mine is an EKO 50 . Paid less than 200 euros in Bricko Mart . When it was new , it brought the ppm on the tap down from 850 + to 18 ppm. Lasted over a year . Just bought replacement filters , ( 40 euros ), but can't get it under 38 - 40 ppm , but I can live with that , no prob. @ 79 That sounds like a good idea. How much A+B would you give them without mag , cal and the rhizo ? Still around the 600 mark or less ? Anyway , last night I decided not to feed them , but let them dry out a little more than usual , and this morning they are praying . That tells me they don't like daily feeds at this stage , even with as little as they are getting . Gonna give half of them a good feed w/runoff and see what happens . There seem to be two different opinions on this , water to runoff and leave them to dry out for a couple of days , or just a little feed daily . Any more info. on this please . Well, time for a spliff before mixing , lol Thanks to Manc. and 79 for the input . Fingers crossed .
Aye u let em dry out between feeding a but ONLY IN VEG not bloom as the drying out process can cause salt build up in the medium.no one told me that and it fucked a good few o my plants in coco up.

That will happen in veg too bro if they keep getting too dry. biggest learning curve I did with coco was stop using like soil and start using it like hydro

@costa have u tried veg on bottled water ? then when there on flower maybe change to ro or maybe even keep it on bottled we done 20 light grows over there on bottled water and it was and probably still is the best weed they've ever seen in any of the coffee shops that we shown it :) if u go to 1 of them store with % sign I can't remember the name of the fucker they do 8ltr bottles for about 60c

You definitely don't want it to dry out completely. But don't keep them saturated ether. You need to lift the pot and get a feel for how wet they are. a good wet dry cycle is a good practise. There are many ways to skin the cat young grasshopper.

They look like they are under watered. Coco likes to hold onto nutes and is PH neutral. If you let the coco dry out it will release said nutes and throw the PH all out of wack. Depending on how big of pots you have those in you should be watering them everyday. Remember Coco needs to be treated like hydroponics not soil. Dont ever let it dry out.

Said way better than I could.

do you have drippers set up then..? was watering until the pots were completely watered then waiting till they were light to lift.. i gather this is bad!? how much runoff do you achieve? in big pots does a small watering four or five times a day manage to get to all the medium... ? i had high slat issues in my last grow saved it all but just trying to learn how to not encounter the problems in the first place...

yes dripper and 4 0r 5 3 minute waterings a day. I run a recirc system so i don't know how much run off i get on that as its not important to me to measure it. I am experimenting with a automated rhizosystem run to waste and am trying to get 20% run off with that but i will make sure they get a good feed at least once a week that gives 100% run off.

How is the system working ? next groom I get that has a flat surface I'm guna get me 1 of them bad boys under the new gavita 1000w de I've just got and I've found them mammoth tents with a 2.4m hight that fits the light in perfect for 350 so 200 cheaper than that shop that does the rhizo. Did u get the xl or standard bases ?

Drippers with coco is the way forward I'm getting growth on this system I've made is as good as any hydro system I've ever ran which is em all other than dwc

i went for xl bases, the drainage part works perfectly well. The issues I'm having is with pressure in the dippers but thats only because i made my own drip system, it will be sorted by tomorrow.

WHEN I made mine I was guna use the same type as what they use on the rhizo but u need a massive pump to run em atm I'm just using a mj1000 that I had lying around and with 10 drippers off it its pumping .5 ltr per 60 secs per dripper
