The texture and thickness of the fan leaves look to me like chronic overwatering. I'd back off the watering frequency. The slight burn on the edges could be overfeeding, but I'm not as sure about that.

okey i shall do that!
i feed usually each watering as its in coco coir perlite mixture
i water each second day but do a very small water on the top of the soil on the days i dont give them full waterings because the top is pretty dry while the bottom is wet.

ill give them longer times between watering and feel how heavy the pots are

I'm surprised to hear it's coco, which I don't usually associate with that kind of overwatering. I've been running 100% coco for a year, watering every day, and haven't seen speedbumps like that. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

maybe next transplant i should switch to air pots. there seems to be good airflow in there and a nice 600w light to help dry things.
i feel you with the over watering and had a feeling i was, in a couple days well see how there looking without watering ill let it become almost dry

I don't see light burn or stress. Potassium deficiency is my guess about what's causing the problem with the leaf tips. I haven't grown in coco coir with perlite, so I'm not sure about the watering. Except for the leaf tips, the leaves look healthy to me.

whats your light settings ?
over watering I highly doubt that. theres no such thing in coco. I water 5-6 times a day.
what size pot have you got ? what EC are you feeding and how often are you feeding ?

also your watering practice is not ideal for coco. you should water often like minimum twice a day unless you have a really big pot.
and you should always water to run off and periodically test your run off other wise your just building up salts in the media and its gonna start burning your plants and making it hard for them to drink which is possibly whats starting to happen already. if they cant drink they cant transpire and if they cant transpire theyre going to cook.

so what i actrully do at the moment is i water the plants with nutes 10% runoff
the next day i will water with only water 10% runoff
the day after i nute them up again 10% runoff
at the moment my ph levels are perfect after run off at 6.5 though i did go with ph perfect which apprently locks the ph once everything is mixxed, and apprently there is no salt build up with this mix though im not sure just trying this foor the first time. works really well these plants are only a month old and ive topped them 4-5times already. i dont go by routine i tend to love the plants and look for every abnormality about them. i do see the speed bumps so i know to water less. the plants have only been repotted a week ago so the root system wouldnt be taking in the pot size of water i put in

this is about my 6th run so im fairly new still but this is my pride plant which was grow 4 i got 6oz off her with a 600w light but think i pulled her early, the picture is many weeks before i pulled her. (strain "duck foot" seed from a friend.

cool. few things I would recommend if you wanna try a slightly different approach.
when you feed one day and water the next the plant has to keep adjusting to the ever changing EC levels and this will cost you some growth rate. Plants thrive with consistency. If you feed the correct EC every time you water and water more frequently then the EC in the rootzone will remain a lot more stable. This way your EC never runs away from you and flushing is unnecassary if you manage it well. You might think you would use more water and nutrients but its not really the case because the coco is staying close to 100% saturation at all times so the amount required is less than if you let it dry out too much. Perlite is a great and necessary addition to this for some extra drainage and oxygen unless your in a really small pot you can use just coco no problem. fabric or air pots also very good.
Also this idea that you can overwater coco is not true. The greatest property of coco is the fact that it holds sufficient levels of oxygen even at 100% saturation.
also theres no need to test the pH of runoff you only have to worry about whats going in. Test the EC of runoff for sure and keep it within .3 off the EC going in and your plant will love you

how come my coco isnt drying fast enough? i have almost too much air flow from an ac and my lights at about 40cm from tops of plants so i dont understand why they arnt drying quick. first time ive actrully ever grew in coco only medium. ive got some fabric pots ready 5gal for they final replant today than ill let them sit for 3-4 more weeks than do the turn

i will try and give them the normal dose of fertz but i feel it burns them over the 3rd day without a break but i dont understand it holds no nuteriants

what EC are you feeding them ?
and whats the EC of your last runoff ?
your coco will dry out when your plants drink the water out of it.
this is what i was getting at before. I think your EC in the rootzone could be getting out of whack

ok i looked into ec because ive never heard the term.
i use a 3part nute from ph perfect micro grow and bloom. i use cal/mag to counter the coco coir taking in some, i also add some monosilicic acid

Oh dear 🤪
An EC pen is an absolute must . A cheap one will suffice its a very simple technology. I would run out and buy one immediately and then Ill explain how you can become a coco Jedi 😁

alright im going to order one right now hahah ! so looking into the info on it i need something like 0.8 ec?
raising as the plant gets further in life ?
if thats the case i was usingsmall amounts of nutes early and slowly added more and more until now im at the max. but yeah the plants seem to take awhile to dry

probably $10-$20 and get a small container of calibration solution as well. some might even come with it

Ill explain how to dial in the correct EC when you get your pen, but yes you start around 0.5 at seedling and slowly increase to about 1.2 where you should be now
Plants can uptake water (osmosis) easily when the EC is low. They can adjust to increases in EC by manufacturing more sugars in their roots but only so much and at a certain point the salt content or EC is too high and despite an abundance of water being available to the plant it cant drink it. and instead of water going into the roots it gets pulled out. This is what we refer to as nutrient burn.

Hey Growmies, i have a bit of a problem. Only one of my plants (Purple Punch) seems to have gotten ???
Nute burn?
Cal mag lock?
Ph issue?

It did happen after her 1st rootz organic liquid feeding. Everyone else did fine but she is getting more and more pale. Slight curl downward on the tips
I will check the ph a bit later. Was thinking next time to ph the tea that oozes out into the tray under the cloth bag.

One other tid bit may matter. She was the 1st and fastest and the tallest of all 9 including 2 of them being Purple punches as well.
Maybe she is just genetically different. Grew too tall too fast?
I used
20230812 105854
20230812 105833
the Rootz Organic LUSH soil so i didnt feed at all until flowering.

Love some thoughts and opinions plz.
Lot of love Ann.

Hi Ann.
yeah she doesnt look happy. I would recommend you post this as a new topic and get some of the soil specialists opinions.
😎👍

Every time I give my girls to much light (DLI) they start to look like that.
