thank you for chiming in...good to know, I wasn't aware of this peculiarity of this strain. I will keep a special eye to the watering schedule for her, for now I was just thinking of letting her dry out and see how she is responding. It seems like that the new leaves are doing better so maybe she just need to grow out the overwatering shock ( given that there are no other issues..I will check the various pH once I get the meter ) The plan for this plant is to veg it indoor until march and then transition it outside into the greenhouse and outdoor. Most likely keep her in apot so that I can move her back to the greenhouse at the end of the season, flowering will be long due to the dominant Sativa's genetics. You might be overwatering. From what I've heard, DP does not use as much water as most strains.
the soil I am using right now it's a mix of FFOF and and organic mix I have used in my vegetables garden ( bought a few cubic yards from a local soil shop and had some left over ). I had great results using it, I believe lime/dolomite have been added to it.Check the ingredients in your soil for Lime or Dolomite.
Do this and post your results:

Soil Ph Slurry Test - Step By Step With Photos
Knowing the pH of your growing medium is important from time to time. The soil pH slurry test is the easiest way of finding the true pH level of your soil based growing medium. For this you'll need: pH Meter - Cheap Amazon pH Pen - Blue Lab pH Pen - Blue Lab Soil pH Pen Cup or Container -...www.thcfarmer.com
yes right now she is doing great, lots of green growth and new leaves.Seems like well recovered and growing. I think I definitely overwatered herPlant looks like it recovered well and starting to get some green. Sometimes when they are small like that they can't handle a lot of water and need some time to get their roots set out. Best of luck.
It's not the size of the holes. Its the amount of air flowing thru the soil. This is why we use fabric pots.the soil I am using right now it's a mix of FFOF and and organic mix I have used in my vegetables garden ( bought a few cubic yards from a local soil shop and had some left over ). I'm going to do a slurry test to check the ph of the soil mix , just got a bluelab pen .
As far as drainage, thee pots have 5 or 6 big holes/windows along the bottom side...I always thought they were big enough for drainage....
got it thanks for the explanation. I do have a a few fabric pots but they are 20 gallons and use them for outdoor growing. I'll look into drilling some holes on my plastic ones or switch to fabric for indoor too. It's not the size of the holes. Its the amount of air flowing thru the soil. This is why we use fabric pots.
