Please reassure me that your Bird isn't built to cruise the fairgrounds scaring babies and setting off car alarms!!??

Had a buddy that built a Pro Touring '69 Camaro. Had a giant LSX block with aluminum square port heads and a lopey as fuck cam. I was helping him put it all together and when we finished I told him I couldn't wait to see what she would do at the track. He looked at me liked I'd asked him to cuckold his wife. He told me he never wanted to track the car and just wanted to have a cool cruiser. WTF? Why would you spend 30k on an engine with blueprinted everything, reinforced to the hilt, trunnioned, roller lifters and trays, the whole shebang, if the fastest the car would run is on the freeway?

Nice! The hood scoop is nice but I'm more a bird catcher sitting on top of a blower kind of guy or are you hiding it all underneath the scoop?

Also a Bird but not a track car. Even though it runs a 390 block with a 4 barrel, the car was heavy as fuck. Great cruiser. I would cruise from gas station to gas station. I think the best mileage I was able to wring out of it was 14mpg!

Update! I watered today and mixed a tablespoon of that new bioactive fertilizer from purple cow into the top layer of soil and watered. Hopefully that gives everything a nice little boost! It has 4 or 5 different types of beneficial fungus in it, a nice little chunk of phosphorus, and a nice little addition of extra minerals like iron and zinc and others. Il keep you all updated on how she looks!

Gonna give her a good haircut tomorrow. The time has come for the final defoliation! Lol im gonna go a little extra far with this one just to make sure the air is flowing through the plant without any problems and the light can penetrate nice and deep like.

Enjoy the weekly timelapse!

Used to have an '03 Mustang that I would run in open track. Straight line and circle track is fun but I like turning both ways!

First time I took her out stock for a test drive the car severely understeered so I ripped out the stock suspension and installed Maximum Motorsports Max Grip Box. Brakes also sucked so I removed all that shit and installed a set of Wilwood SL6's on the front and DL4's in the rear. Corbeau race seats and some Simpson 5 points. Really fun car to drive on test and tune days!!! I used to run the car at Buttonwillow and Willow Springs out here in Cali and they sold 100+ at the track so no need to have to haul cans of high test around.

The Firebird is 2950 with me in it. It’s a nine second car it’s built to kill its weight saved every spot that could be drilled out is drilled out. It’s a big tire car a true back nothing but fiberglass in the front the doors the trunk lid the front clip all glass.
It’s an all Pontiac pure car the transmission and the motor all Pontiac it’s fruit out of a 1969 GTO judge it’s a 400 board out to a 488. It’s supposedly a small block but yeah that’s hilarious. I got a couple of events. I can post you. You gotta listen to the cackle on this thing man and when I say it’s fucking built, it’s fucking built. It’s all naturally aspirated nine second quarter mile car. I could put a little sniff nitrous on it if I wanted to, but I don’t need to.

Have you corner weighted the car? I had a Chevy Nova project that I sold that I was going to setup for open track racing. It had a custom tube chassis with a C6 'Vette drivetrain and suspension. Twin turbo aluminum LS3 with LS7 heads and a T-56 manual. Had a CF hood and trunk. Without glass and interior the car weighed 2585 lbs. After it was done I was going to trailer it around the country and run it on all the open tracks like Laguna Seca or Road America and film it. I wanted to put together a video showing what it was like to run all the different courses here in the US.

Alright guys, i have come to the conclusion that i need to give water earlier! By at least 2 days actually. I gave 4L 6 days ago, and in the timelapse you can see that the leaves start to droop on the 23rd, getting worse on the 24th and then it looks like they get better the today 25th but thats just from the drip system turning on lol

Shes still nice n frosty :) i think the lack of water is holding back the bud growth, so the new schedule should make the plant really happy

What a beautiful plant. The amount of frost this is accumulated is insane. Hard to believe this is a bag seed or your first grow. Congratulations on kicking this in the teeth. Nicely done.

What does this smell like?

Haha thanks! Its been really cool to learn while i grow, and this forum has been awesome for info when i need it!

It has some different smells depending where i put my face lol if i just smell the flower, i get a light hint of garlic smell, but if i shove my face in the middle of the plant it smells like really sweet earthy garlic lol really lives up to its name.

The people who originally grew it, a company called Triple 7 in AZ, also grow one of my favorite strains ever called caps frozen lemons. So you can imagine how happy i was to find a seed while i was weighin a pound of this stuff at work

Looked citrus-y smelling to me. It's why I asked. Even has yellow pistils. Love the structure. Reminds me of a dahlia. Outside of Capt and Trustfall genetics, not sure if I've seen a prettier plant on here.

Did you clone her?

Damn thats quite the compliment, hell yea thank you!

Unfortunately i have no idea how to clone :( i would have loved keeping this plant as a mother plant and just growing a bunch of clones to flower but i think itl be a while before i get to that point lol mostly financially hopefully il end up with a seed or 2 from her. I still have 1 more seed from that same pound, so its definitely possible....

Quick question for everyone.

Does anyone know when the PERFECT time to give water is? Is it right before lights out? During lights out? Maybe right before lights on?

Iv been giving water roughly 30 minutes to an hour after lights come on. Maybe someone has some experience or science i can check out

Let me know! Have a good night everyone :)

Nah never really did that with the bucket of bolts, I just switched to coil overs a few years ago. Though it would make one hell of a pony car.
I always had a fondness for the shoebox nova ss.
They are light as shit, you had a rocking build there.
I have a built old school bbc that was going in my pristine 05 mustang until a drunk driver took that away from me, I’m fairly certain, after I go through this block and the spare Pontiac block (already mocked up and filled with hardblok) that I’ll be going single turbo ls and adding 2 more points to the cage and add a 150mph parachute and get her certified for outlaw.

I generally like to wait until the plants have had a little bit of time to wake up and I’ll usually hit them around 11 AM lights on which is three hours after they come on for me. I want them to eat all day long if you feed them at night, your medium is quite literally just wet all night because the plants dropping everything it pulled out of the soil back down into the soil when the lights go out so I always feed when the lights are on.
