You didntIm gonna drop that next timelapse this week :)
Haha hell yea man thanks! You didntbut Im happy with the pics too, she is looking good! Buds fattening nicely but yes she is slower. Slower usually means bigger buds though, assuming that the genetics are good and its not slower just because. Runtz does that on me a lot, I buy different ones from different banks and I never know when theyre gonna finish, some are faster but give smaller buds some take more than 2 months but give monster buds, I think it will be a trade off and theyre looking like theyre gonna be big big, as I said before

Never seen that in all my days lol cool thoughSome new close ups of the buds :)
Also found a 2nd leaf growing a bud from the middle of the leaf lol this ones much bigger.
Also, she kinda smells like skittles. In case anyone wanted to know lol
Also also, question about phosphorus. Trying to see if the purple/red stems are genetic or if i need to add a bit of phosphorus. How does a deficiency usually play out? Where do the purple/red stems usually show up first if the plant is deficient in phosphorus? I dont really see any other signs so far. The big fan leaves down low are starting to discolor and die off, but that should be normal for this stage in the grow right?
One of the main factors to consider when diagnosing leaf symptoms is location on the plant. A basic understanding of the difference between mobile and immobie nutrients is key to narrowing down problems that have similar symptoms. You are correct that a P deficiency will start low on the plant, so will N, K and Mg. Ca and Fe are the main immobie nutes that appear first at the top of the plant.Hey everyone, quick question about phosphorus deficiency. Im not sure if my plant is showing signs or not, but id like to catch it early if it is.
I know the stems can begin to change purple/red if the plant is having a deficiency of phosphorus. I also know that can just be genetic. My plant seems to be changing color at the stems only towards the top of the plant.
Does that sign of deficiency usually show up towards the bottom of the plant first, where it stores its nutrients? Or does it show towards the tops first, where the buds are probably using the most phosphorus?
I also noticed very recently some leaf clawing, and a couple leaves at the top seem very slightly dry and the serated edges are all curling in as well. Noticed a little bit of loss of the deep green color on those leaves as well.
We are currently 44 days into flower and this is a very sativa plant. Shes also a photoperiod.
Any advice/help is much appreciated!
P.S. the timelapse are arguing with me again (of course) and i just got my appendix removed on saturday. So bear with me, il get them going again i promise lol
Thats exactly the answer i needed! So a pretty damn high chance that this is not an issue with phosphorus. I agree with you about the light intensity, that was the first thing that went through my mind when i noticed the leaf symptoms because its only happening to those top leaves or to leaves that sit directly in the line of fire of the fans. I can handle seeing some mechanical damage, shes still lookin happy so thats all i care about lolOne of the main factors to consider when diagnosing leaf symptoms is location on the plant. A basic understanding of the difference between mobile and immobie nutrients is key to narrowing down problems that have similar symptoms. So back to your question...the issue is clearly at the top of the plant. So then I could rule out P and see if there's any other issues that would cause edge curling and fading. Those three in combination point directly to a light intensity issue in my book. Looking at your tent it's not hard to see why lol
As far as the red stems and the P connection I've chased that rabbit down many holes and eventually gave up. Without leaf symptoms to back it up it seemed like a fools errand to worry about stem color when the rest of the plant is perfectly healthy.
Those fan leaves up top are definitely taking a beating but that's their job! I would just make sure to keep a close eye on temp up there and check that the top buds are not feeling dry/crunchy. If it is heavy sativa you might have as many as 30 days left to harvest, hopefully less!
And thats exactly why i didnt lollipop or trim everything off down low haha i want her to use those stored nutrients while theyre available, helps me save a tiny bit of cash on fertilizer and i feel like it gives me a better idea of how far along we are in flower :)Yeah most of what she needs for the rest of the run is stored up in her leaves already. My plants are basically on molasses water at this point lol.
Hell yea good luck on your grow as well!! Are you posting it on this site? So i can follow your plants haha :)Wow, congrats on your first grow!
Please update with the dry yield weight.
And your methods for drying/curing.
I too am attempting my first grow but it’ll be outdoors in ground once they’re big enough. Currently at 16 days on 2 Durban Poisons and 1 Godfather OG prly should call it 11 days because the first 5 days I had way too small of a junk light from Amazon. I too will be attempting topping, LST, and Scrog.
Thinking 30” or 36” holes 24” deep.
Next time I may buy a tent indoors, we’ll see how this grow goes.
Happy toking!
Yes, I posted it under the “Grow Diary” section, hoping it’ll start getting some bites so I can get some direction/tips.Hell yea good luck on your grow as well!! Are you posting it on this site? So i can follow your plants haha :)
