The only thing in FlorNova that would qualify as organic is Magnesium Sulfate. Other than that there is ZERO organic matter in it.

It should. The filters that I clean are the plastic ones that you see in most all sprinkler heads so they catch a lot of debris. They look like these:Hmmmm ok heres a question then. My system came with a little filter you can attach to the end of the hose that you put in your reservoir. It looks almost like little clay balls in a plastic cage lol. Do you think that might work ok for the debris from the floranova?
I dont necessarily want to put my nutes in a reservoir, just because it can get hard to manage if i were to leave the organic nutrient dense water in the container for an extended period of time. I dont want a bunch of shit growin in there lol GROSS
But if i can find a way to get some premixed nutrient water to sit for at least a week, thatd be great lol i think im wishin for the impossible though
That's Great! I want to do that to the AC Infinity humidifier I have. I need to start looking for a little float that can regulate the water level. I probably won't hook it up directly to water but to a 5 gallon bucket and let it gravity feed into the humi. I've had my share of floods from faulty floats so my tent floor can handle 5 gallons of water on the floor without it breaching into the lung room. Also, i figured out last night how to fill my humidifier without opening the tent lol i have a different water pump, this one is made for filling a cup of water from a 5 gallon jug, but i took a drip head and was able to unscrew the waterflow controller and take it out, and i was able to squeeze the metal outlet of the pump into the opening on the drip head. I took the waterflow controller and used that to clog up the other hole in the drip head, stuck some tubing on there, ran it to the humidifier and boom, automatic humidifier refiller lol coolest part is the pump automatically shuts off after a certain amount of time, and thay amount of time fills the humidifier halfway. Not sure why i thought this was so cool lol
I'm still not sure how they were able to keep the chelates from not affecting microbial life but my experiment showed me that, indeed, while not being technically organic it doesn't bother other organisms. The only thing in FlorNova that would qualify as organic is Magnesium Sulfate. Any fertilizer that contains the correct ratio of NPK will work. That is only 1/3 of the total solution. Best used by an experienced hand that wants to create their own ratios.I doubt this would be a good idea but i gotta ask. Would this fertilizer work for cannabis? Lol i doubt itd be great for it, seems like a large scale thing, but thought id ask
Ok thats really good to know. Getting a ton of good info here. Im thinking about maybe taking @PooToe idea and just completely blacking out a 5 gallon jug (maybe i can just put a black trash bag or 2 around it, maybe even buy some black paint or flex seal lol) and filling it with nutrient water. And if i can find a way to get the majority of the watering/feeding automated i will be VERY happy. If this stuff doesnt negatively affect the organics and microbes then it would be absolutely perfect for what i need. The only thing in FlorNova that would qualify as organic is Magnesium Sulfate. @mstrpkl That type of yellowing looks like sulfur deficiency. Possible Mg, P and/or K deficiency.

I've use General Hydroponics CALiMAGic and Botanicare CalMag, both have Iron in them. Also im a little frustrated with myself and fox farm because the bushdoctor calmag i bought doesnt have any frikin iron in itso now i gotta waste money on the liquid iron or tell foxfarm to eat farts and get a calmag supplement with some iron in it lol thought id toss that out there for anyone who might be reading this that might be needing calmag. Dont get the foxfarms bushdoctor calmag, theres no iron
Unfortunately nothing i have has any iron in it. I was unprepared from the beginning because i thought the soil could carry through to harvest. So i bought some nutes as deficiencies showed. Assumed there was iron in this calmag because literally every other calmag supplement has iron in it. There is not lolI've use General Hydroponics CALiMAGic and Botanicare CalMag, both have Iron in them.
Do any of your other nutes have iron in them where it wouldn't matter that your CalMag doesn't?
Why couldnt google be as quick and easy as thisThanks for clarifying that. Some Epsom Salts should do the trick.
Looking beautiful, man! Your care is spot on. Increasing your watering a bit could definitely help with the high temps and low humidity. With pots around 15-20L, 1-2L per watering sounds perfect. Plus, it’ll boost humidity and drop the temp slightly. But honestly, you’re doing great as is—keep it up!Looking beautiful, clearly very healthy. It wouldn't hurt at all to increase your watering amount considering the high temperature and low humidity your dealing with you can be very liberal with it I usually water with 1liter each side of the pot and then add the 3rd litre very slowly until the tiniest trickle starts to come out of the bottom that is the sign that it's enough within a few minutes you'll notice the pot has sucked back up the excess leakage letting you know all that water is going to be used this is for my 25L pot outside yours looks to be around 15-20L so between 1 and 2L is perfect for now also more frequently watering will increase humidity in the tent which will drop the temperature slightly. But as I say if you wanted to you could change nothing right now and it would do good, as your caring for her wonderfully. Well done so far![]()
Cheapest Fox Farm Liquid Iron I see with shipping is $25 for 1 quart, you can get 1 quart of CalMag like the General Hydroponics CALiMAGic or Botanicare Calmag and other brands with Iron in it for less then $20 shipped.Unfortunately nothing i have has any iron in it. I was unprepared from the beginning because i thought the soil could carry through to harvest. So i bought some nutes as deficiencies showed. So on Tuesday im gonna go back to the local shop and see if they have any of that liquid iron from fox farms. Might as well, since i already spent the money on the calmag.

Synthetic will mess with your microorganisms but bio-mineral wont. I used the sensi ph perfect line from AN for years and even in the feeding table the microbes are present for the advanced table. In fact, it says that it promotes their growth. Synthetic = bad for microbes but bio-mineral and organic = good for microbes. Think about azomite or volcanic ash, it helps the microbes and its biominerals.I'm still not sure how they were able to keep the chelates from not affecting microbial life but my experiment showed me that, indeed, while not being technically organic it doesn't bother other organisms.
Do you think the sediments that are in the concentrate are precipitates?
Maybe I missunderstood something but Epsom Salts dont have any iron, its magnessium and sulfur. I use them for making my homemade calmag with calcium carbonate and vinegar but the iron I add with a supplement. Thanks for clarifying that. Some Epsom Salts should do the trick.
