This is what overfeeding looks like!!!!

So I see a lot of people asking what's wrong with their plants and just want to show that if your plants generally look like this... YOUR NUTES ARE TOO STRONG...

I'm using Advanced nutrient line... I know 2ml per gallon on my stuff is TOO strong right now but this is what it looks like overfeeding

But u dont have burned tips. This looks like a problem with a heat, air flow.

Yea I agree I have over fertilized and got tip browning color on those looks deep dark green

heres a picture of my plants in a too hot climate and a few under/over fertz the leaves will curl inwards on the whole leaf not just the tip if they are in a too hot place. in the pic here they were in a grow tent at 35C

bunch of crazy different strains and my first grow. since than ive never had a heat issue, only nitrogen over fert issue where just the tips would curl down and go burnt looking.

in your picture im guessing you have some up there temps. id say maybe a slight over fert in your picture because of how dark that green is :)

Temps are perfect...Im well aware I over fed... I purposely did that to show off what overfeeding looks like

But u have I think problem with heat, light, air flow or calcium, magnesium deficiency in case of stronger light as side of leaves are curling up.
Didnt see anywhere such symptom in nutrients burning plant, just tips.

Overfeeding and abundance seems like two different things in this case.

Your strain can handle stronger nutes without burning tips, thats good.

My temps are at 72 degrees day 68 night... I used a stronger nute dosage purposely to get the curling of the leaves its not just tip burn its curling of your serated leaf edge...

When my plant was 6 nodes high before clipping... 2ml per gal was perfect ratio perfect greens and no curling what so ever... after clipping and stripping I still did the 2ml per gal when I should have reduced to 1ml per gal due to lesser foiliage

When you say overfeeding and abundance... that's basically the same thing... overfeeding is a direct link to abundance...

Take a look at my smaller plant... getting 2ml per gal of nutes and its not curling or anything

Thanks man just trying to show a demo of what to look for when nutes are too strong... they are fine but that's easy peasy diagnosis for nutes still a little on strong side I sew a lot of posts about this

there is absolutely no over abundance or over feeding going on with those plants..
the feeding amounts all depends on strain, plant age and health, light strength etc..

Dude burned tips is only 1 factor of over feeding and usually occurs during flower... during veg this is what to look for

Really? Cause when I usually do my mainline... after 1st topping I have to drop my dosages cause the nutes are too strong...always get taco and wonky leaves...no matter what strain...

left ones especially top one look a tad bit dark green, so may be a bit high in N but really nothing special or especially wrong with your plants they look healthy, most excess of nutrients will cause various kind of burns or leaves decay you won't miss

So when I 1st started growing 20 years ago I used to think the more food the better... boy was I wrong in those days!!!! However I've come to notice that the curly and taco leaves are definitely a pure indicator that nutes are too strong... regardless of strain... now I'm starting to feel like I'm the only 1 who thinks this way...lol...

P.s. I am loving and digging everyone's Input!!!!!!!


Like I said before.... before I top I run a 2ml solution of nutes and it perfect for 6 node height plant... after topping and stripping... I always have to cut my solution back again until their is more growth... think of it reverting back to seedling stage... don't need any nutes during that stage... or very very little.... if I do retain the 2ml solution I get wonky leaves...

I'm saying they are NOT SEVERELY over fed... but again i've come to learn this is good sign of nutes being too strong/overfed

That’s a ph issue over feed can twist leaves but from my many years of growing. I see this when I’ll transplant from an inert media like coco into living soil. Especially when I’d add shrimp meal and down to earth bio live at same time as transplant about 7-10 later lots of plans we’re growing deformed and twisted I first thought it was to cold but after see same thing indoors and out it usually when the ph is off. Me myself never owned a ph pen cause I grow organically so when I see this I just give dechlorinated water and it fixes itself
