last year in the central valley some guys that my friends know got popped doing this in an orchard. 1400 plants!
they cut out the middle branches and put a bag of ocean forrest up there, cut an x in the top side and planted. ran a dripper to each site and voila! But then there was an altercation and the cops got called. it wasn't seen from the air though.
